  1. They were one pair 14x6.5 RS-Watanabe, one pair 14x6.5 Black Racing 8 Spoke. It was a fun car with all the good bits (coilovers, 4 pot hilux brakes, '3T-G' with big cams, TRD LSD etc), built before it was cheap/simple to get stuff from Japan, lots of calling in favours, mates of mates etc to gather the bits. If you want to try 175/60s I happen to have a pair which have been fitted to rims, but not driven on, which I could let go for minimal cost, haha.
  2. Good luck with the build mate. Should look a lot better when its low. You could try 175/60s instead of the 175/70 balloon tyres if you want to minimise the molesting to your guards and lose some more rideheight too. Barely stretched on an 8 (I have some on Volk 13x8s..was too much stretch on 13x9.5s though). TE37, Celica or TE51 mirrors would fit better. I'll be honest, the only JDM bit I can see is potentially the gearknob...Its an Aussie built car after all. This was my friend's TE37-copy KE55, previously here in Hobart. You can see the mirrors are a lot different to the generic KE70 type ones.
  3. Spotted Bruce in avatar car in the Hobart CBD the other day? I like those 2 door sedans, a mate of mine at uni had one. Love the slot mags!
  4. I have some TE72 struts here, thought I might use them in a future project. Are there any common brake upgrades? They seem to have a really weird, wide spaced caliper mounting. Even just vented discs and stockish sized calipers would do. Ideas?
  5. R31 TI rims yeah? You need to swap one from each side to the other, bloody directional pattern, lol.
  6. Since its been relisted with a $1400 buy it now price I doubt they'd take $300. He doesn't need a clean one, just one with an intact T-series and a few panels..
  7. Cool, good to see someone got it. Now Jonny needs to get the motor out and you take away the roller so he can put the TE37 back in his own driveway (not mine!), haha.. The rust is pretty severe, BUT, I think most areas will interchange with T18 and the rest isn't particularly complex in shape. And its not rusty in some interesting spots, most of the actual chassis and floorpan are quite good hey, as are the front guards, hatch is pretty good... Personally I'd buy a cheap T18 donor vehicle, you'd get doors, trim, panels, T-series diff to bolt in.
