  1. I now need to have some time by myself. The Juha quote at 15:00 or so is excellent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXgWWNJVdYA&feature=share
  2. Pfft. Not using them anymore anyway. Surplus to requirements. Haven't driven the new one, but the old BT/ Ranger was more than capable off road. Two trips to the Cape would have had the old one in pieces though. That said, I believe the new one quite a good thing. A friend sells them, and says the biggest problem at the moment is getting enough of them. That and not enough wheelbarrows to take the money to the bank.
  3. Refer previous comment re: "Ssangyong" and "testicles"
  4. I didn't realise Merc built Volkswagens?? :P
  5. Quoted for truth. Rob: I'd rather deep fry my own testicles than buy a Ssanyong. That said you know my taste in cars is dubious... :P On the plus for VW their service department is excellent. I agree though, you're paying alot for the Amarok. I still think Triton is a good buy ( or it was when I did back to back testing of all but the Amarok a couple of years ago....)
  6. Not as far as we know. Androoo was NSW based if memory serves.
  7. No. Here is not the place. You already have a thread in the right place, you just have to be patient. :locked:
  8. Why do you need a booster for a 25??
  9. Left foot braking in times of extreme peril makes people slam their left foot on the brake, and right foot on the accelerator, thereby expediting their next accident.
  10. TA22 diffs are wider than 25 diffs.you need to run very + offset rims if you want them to fit under the guards.
  11. It's like everything else, you need to learn how to drive with one. Yes, if you lift off the power halfway through a corner, it will spit you off the road to your firey death. You need to trail the throttle through the corner and the diff wont unlock. Not good for an everyday car though, as they tend to "pig root" at low speed. Also good if you want to drive on two wheels. :)
  12. I'd like to add its parked next to his BDA mkII. :)
  13. An associate has a Mk1 Escort with a quad throttle body 2 lt Zetec in it, done up as a Mexico. It's epic. :)
  14. Two blokes, beer and a shed = Win
  15. Well, actually, there's a few that can. There's one guy here who built one of the outright record holding Pike's Peak cars for Monster Tajima. Other's have been paid professional drivers by manufacturers. Others have worked for motorsport preparation and fabrication companies. Some have done more than one of the previous. I've tried to help him strive to be better. (See earlier this thread.) But he couldn't be told. That's fine. I ceased being interested back then. Mitch (as well as a bunch of others in here...) needs to learn when to let go and move on. Believe me, others have been "spoken" to as well. He also needs to occasionally listen to others instead of running the "I race Supercars and I therefore know better than you" line. I admitted earlier I was wrong about one of my posts, and I retacted that. I believe that we can ALL learn from each other. There is not always a right and wrong way. Sometimes saying nothing is better than saying something, too.
  16. No, we do. You've told us before. Often. Conversely, you know nothing really about us either. Hence the playstation comment. Which I know to be true.
  17. Seriously Mitch, there are some people in here who've done more in motorsport than you're ever likely to do or have built cars you will only ever dream about or play on playstation. Take the hint. Whack a cork in it. That goes for everyone else as well. We all know the pictures about argueing on the internet.
  18. I haven't visited here since about page eight, and I don't have a lot of interest in being here now, but you are all behaving like children. Guys, collectively pull your heads in (on both sides) and play nicely.
  19. And that is where I think we should now leave this conversation.
  20. You forgot ex-stunt car driver and Advanced driving instuctor.
  21. Picture tells a thousand words.
  22. An associate about 25 years ago found a hire car mob in Cairns renting a bunch of these things out to tourists. He showed me a photo he took at the time of a 25 soft top, and I think that this is probably one of them.
