I`ll take thomo up on that deal. $77 an hour is great. Doesnt matter on time frame. Take as long as you like. I`ve budgeted for over $1700 for it. Being the same engine shouldn`t be to much of a hassle. Wont be for a couple of weeks now, as i copped a nice BIG speeding fine yesterday at Mittagong :fuzz: which i got to pay :bash: As for A&D, i`ll pass on that one. He does good work, but i`ve got to many issues with that place (when he was at Hume) Plus i`d rather give work to people who support rollaclub, as no doubt, they`ll support us down the track Anyways, whenever your ready in the next couple of weeks Thomo, just let me know and i`ll come have a talk to you. hey rolla peoples been a long time since i`ve been on this site since the rolla was put on hold and i went overseas. But she`s nearly done :drgrim: but a quick one though. Can anyone recommend ANYONE who can drop my worked 7MGTE into my cressida. have phoned ESP, Performance Garage, Powermax but no one will take it cause its "to easy a project not worth taking". if anyone knows of anyone that can do it, PLEASE let me know. Hey guys, I'm Mikos' mate who grabbed his (working) spare 86kw motor to put into my own AE82 Twin cam, but i don't know what the base timing at idle should be set to. I've just started at 7deg BTDC and have been slowly advancing it every day but have stopped doing it because it keeps taking it and wont ping!!! I'm not 100% on if it is or not due to all the under-bonnet noise from inlet/zorst, so i just left it where it is untill i can get a timing light and another ear to see if its pinging or not. i'm very aware of what it sounds like but with all the other noises that arre going on. anyone know what they run as a good timing setting on 95RON?? hey steve, will take you up on the install. will call you in the next couple of days (when i get a chance to get near a phone when at work) or i have thursday off so i might drop in and see you. Also, what troubles have you had with the fitting the drive shafts?? The guys from Toyshop said everything could go straight in with little fuss. Also, is there a problem if i source my own parts? As i am thinking about getting Toda Cams, Toda adjustable cam gears, ACL forged pistons, Haltek E8 ecu (for later on in the project) and a few other goodies. can you fit these if i source them?? Hey guys/gals, need your help!!!!... does anyone know, who in canberra can do my engine conversion? Have just purchased an AE101 20v silvertop front cut (from Toyshop in Syd) to transplant into my AE82. Have made a few calls, but can't find anyone who is willing to put it in for me. :yes: Does anyone know of someone who can do this for me? Your help would be GREATLY appreciated cheers Mick
