This sounds a lot like the engine thats in my ke35 at the mo. But mine has next to no emissiions stuff on it at all. mines got a bosch dizzy, but i'm struggling to find the right rotor and cap. seams different to the standard bosch dizzy. Ditto

If its owned by an old couple, hopefully they have had it serviced regulary. Ask them if it has, and ask if you can look at the log book. Start the car, see if it blows smoke, and see how it runs. If it is 100k car should purr along very nicely. At 100k its not even run in yet :)

Go and buy some wax and grease remover, clean whatever it is your painting, then if you want to go this step, spray some plactic paint adhesion spray on it. Works a treat! Theres vinyl colour dye, and theres plastic and vinyl paint. I've used both, and there both really good, i put the dye on my door trims, and they came up a treat! I painted my console with the paint, and still looks great! You just gotta do the prep work first!

I use an old fork, with one of the prongs bent the wrong way. Works great!

well i have a few problems, i did know about this but it took me this long to get piccies! Has this happened to anyone else, and is it fixable? Its still drives, but there is bugger all clutch travel!

The door switches are prone to rusting and/or sticking in. Pull em out check em, bit of WD40, or try and get new ones if they're no good.

All I can say is GO THE FORDS Great race, great finish, great result! Seton was the highest placed HRT/HSVDT car, good for him! Yes it would have been good to see the 17 on the top step, but 3rd is great. I do feel sorry for the super cheap car, out before it began! And for jason bright, the team should never have changed tyres! Another year, another great race...

Well the richards/winterbottom car has pole, and is looking quite good. For the record, my dark horse pick is the 17 jim beam car, very quick, right from the get go.

Check the earth in the boot from the tail lights. I had a similar problem, when it doesn't earth properly, i had tail, and indicators glow when i put my foot on the brake!

I believe i asked about this bathurst, not the bathursts that had 6 genuine contenders, and 60 mobile chicanes! Although it was good to see the good ole days with various makes and models, but in this day and age racing has progressed to 20 or 25 genuine contenders, and made things more interesting and more safer. Discuss...
