  1. Couldn't agree more mate my bt in my rolla made 185hp on the engine dyno :D
  2. Full lap racing mate, not sure of the lap nos as sup regs arent out yet. The grid will be 55 IP cars which will be fantastic, looks like all the classes were oversubsribed so full grids 55 cars for all classes.
  3. a few of the guys run 16s with 235 I think and they seem good, there blody expensive though, I will stick to my 185/60/13's :D
  4. Round our local track at Mallala the quickest IP car RX3 with a BP18T in it does mid 1:15s The V8 supercars do a 1:10 round Mallala, they do have 14 in slicks where the Mazda about runs a huge 195/60/14 street legal tyre. The acceleration between the IP car and V8 Supercar would be line ball The silvias can now run 17in wheel/tyre combo now 2 in up from stock because they run in late model, the restrictors are a PITA but the motors have plenty of torque to compensate, a few more lbs of boost up high would be nive though A few silvias are being built now and they seem to be pretty competitive out the box
  5. heres a link that explains all, basically they have early model and late model cars rotors, V8s, turbo etc http://www.iprasa.mx.com.au/rules.htm
  6. My two nephews will be racing at Baturst that easter weekend in the IP class. There will be fantastic racing and plenty of variety and no V8 stupidcars in sight. 7. Wondering if competition car (IPRA) are welcome, not for judging just static display, nephews were talking about displaying our 4 race cars there. Their not show queens but fairly neat.
  8. When ever your ready Trev :jamie:
  9. From my own real world experience with a BT 20v. My engine is a wrecker engine, the comps range from 170-155( they should be round 190, the motor is tired). I have Autronic smc ems, ebay extractors and ebay trumpets. It made 185 flywheel hp on the engine dyno. Shift point is 8800, rev limit 9100, it has done probably 200 laps round mallala in practice and race conditions. It has been driven flat out for all those laps, you couldnt punish the motor that much on the street, trust me., if you think you can you are kidding yourselves The engine tuner( Allan Engineering in S.A at Mallala) was amazed at the hp and the torque although not huge the curve is nice and flat. When the motor finally goes bang I will rebuild it with decent arp bolts some nice cams and a little headwork, more comp, aiming for a little over 200hp with said mods. the motor doesnt breathe at all and runs like a clock. I hear all these stories about how the 20v's are crap. Internet talk is cheap
  10. Good luck troy and I will second grass roots motorsport, its cheap for entry, you can talk to the drivers and have a good nose over the cars and the racing is always great.... Good Luck mate Cheers John
  11. Good luck mate, hope you have a good run. How does the a arm work on the rear , thinking of doing the same on my car. Will your car be on display Friday night on gouger st. Cheers John
  12. Thanks Stu, Yes its a Cossie 2.5 litre Merc, goes quite well also. The brakes are as big as my rims :D :hmm: , it stops very well and powers down beautifully, got to love 235/50/17's tyres
  13. First race meet and passed my OLT Had my first race meet, passed the OLT and put the car on the trailer with no panel damage and still running

  20. The rolla is finally 1 colour -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- heres some pics, wife emailed me some pics today, I'm 800 kms west of Adelaide :P Pick her up friday Pics arent great will get some when its back together. The wife says the paint looks good in the flesh Will have the same livery as the nephews KE30 but in a blue
  21. Dead right there, the 2 litres struggle for air above 6000, a few guys in SA are toying with 1600-1800cc turbos as the rev range would be larger, slightly less torque and about the same HP. A 4AGZE turboed would be a good thing in IP
  22. Here a link to all the Australian Improved production state associations and a link to the cams website they have all the dates there. Once you get involved in motorsport the bug bites  http://www.iprasa.mx.com.au/links.htm
