  1. That could be any Daven in Darwin :eatlead:
  2. Good you say that. Heres my excuse. I am going to have the radiator checked out as the car is running quite abit hotter then when I first got it, just a security measure. Also a rattle from the head that I want checked out also. Plus, Adam won't be there so no point in me racing, I mean beating him :eatlead:
  3. Yeah I believe it is around 130 as well. Runs pretty ok with the blanket off. Will in time sort something out to make it run cooler, will get a thermo mounted grill side as well
  4. Water that is pressurised has a higher boiling point.
  5. lol at the temp reaching 105 this morning, funny thing was, didnt boost it at all on the way to work. Off comes the blanket
  6. Hrrm car sits at like 90 when driving around and makes its way up to about 100 after a little bit of a boot or slow speed/stationary. Good on ya Adam for your 4th place as well
  7. What sort of operating temps should I be watching for? (Water/coolant temps)
  8. Also, got boost sitting at 15psi with no slipping at the moment :), lets see if she holds up lol
  9. Turbo blankets smoke the first time you take it for a drive/idle it up to temp. It doesnt smoke The water/coolant temp is up abit, with the turbo blanket on it is squeezed between the exhaust housing and radiator where as without the blanket there is a little gap between, was getting water temps of 90degress last night cruising at 80k's, will go for a drive tonight and see if there is any difference.
  10. WWD? Edit: Also, fitted turbo blanket today, not sure whether I am happy with it or not, I think it is actually running a little hotter, it also retains the heat and it takes way longer to cool down. Also, tis funny, went for a drive after it was installed lol, it smokes lol haha.

  22. Andrew, learn to read. Nothing off the shelf from exedy/xtreme that would last for long. Already found a twin plate, just investigating other alternatives.
  23. Adam reply to email Re: Flying Fox Festival? Been chatting with a rep from Exedy for awhile today, nothing off the shelf there would hold up for long if at all, hes gonna have a chat to the manufacturer and get back to me about a modified/custom jobby. Chatting with extreme and got the same response about nothing off the shelf etc.
  24. hardy har har Overtook 46 caravan's/rv's on the way to Katherine this morning. Just after a clutch which will last and be able to cop a beating, would rather do it right once then have to do it again in a few months etc.
  25. Yeah I try to release it faster just that I am used to my old heavy duty clutch, not used to the new one 100%, its a really soft clutch and it was showing signs of wear/slipping before I bought the car, it was one of the things I was counting on replacing. Tossing up between a twin plate or a 3puck solid with a pressure plate of around 1800lbs. Leaning towards the latter as I aint sure I want a twin plate. The current clutch is fine, it just slips bad when it comes onto max boost. As I understand that a little shudder(couldnt think of a better word) is to be expected with these sort of clutches at low speed/takeoff?
