  1. I love how this car just keeps coming back better and better each time! colour looks overrated, engine is old school on steroids, love the black chasers… props to you for not allowing bad luck to put you down. Soldier on!
  2. Sadly no news...saving my pennies, and going to continue on it in January. Summernats should give some inspiration... ;)
  3. I demand updates! haha nice tubs mate.
  4. For the brakes and clutch, you can avoid the whole booster/master dilemma and just go with a Pedal Box with individual MC's under the dash… heaps neater. Wilwood or Tilton will do the job. Good luck mate, Mark
  5. thanks for the encouragement mate. Hopefully when it's on the road it's going to be a nice clean little rocket.
  6. haha Stasi, hurry up and take your motor back...just chuck it in!! Progress is confined to weekends, and considering I'll be away for 2 weeks from this friday, there probably won't be any more progress for a month or so. Next is getting stuck into the brake hard lines, then my hoppers kit for the front end.
  7. The bandsaw was around $572 from Hare & Forbes…The blade it comes with was rooted within an hour, so buy some extra blades…haha
  8. lol THE SUSPENSE IS KILLING ME!!
  9. Got some work done on the car today; Pedal box frame/support is all welded up, and tacked into the car ready to be welded to the firewall… 2 more support bars will be welded in to support the steering column. I'll let the pics do the talking… Thanks again to Adam (MLT323) for the fabrication work.
  10. So micky, why did you sell the gypsy-green beast?? …if you don't mind me asking...
  11. thats hotrod Micky…looks fantastic. very nostalgia, and very unique. You need a magazine feature with one of those tatoo'd model chicks that model in the nostalgia hotrod mags...
  12. New toy: sorting radiator piping: Ready to weld in pedal box mount: Big thanks to Adam (MLT323) for all his fabrication skills…you are the master! This guy is going to take the fabrication/engineering industry by storm...
  13. Sick welding on the tunnel! Rajab?
  14. ohhh yeah…200kw + 20v + sidewayz….lovin it. I liked the news coverage too…lol
  15. Micky you are the master!! bro I had no idea you sold your beast…I hope you got what you wanted for it. The 2 door looks PHAT! loving the colour coding hot-rod thing you got going on… Spewing I will be away from sydney when ToyotaFest is on. Keep those pics pouring in! Mark
  16. Mr GJM, I gotta admit, when I first saw this thread a while back, I thought "oh yeah, ke20, k-motor...ghey"....being from the everything-must-be-turbo camp myself. I just read through this whole thread, and it's now my favourite on this whole site. So much detail, classy colour selection, tasteful interior, enginuity and big effort put into the K-setup....and best of all you tackled nearly all of it yourself. Dude I hope my car is HALF as neat as this when it hits the street. Keep up the good work! Mark (newly converted fan) lol
  17. some pulley porn...
  18. alternator bracket all painted up, tension strap left brushed + reco alternator...
  19. My missus helping me out to put the engine back in… Done.
  20. stock internals aye Stasi….lol
  21. Thanks dude! my engine & Gearbox mounts were made by Shanon @ Simply Maz, but the fabrication after that is all taken care of by my best mate Adam, who's a fabricator by trade. Just sorting out new bolts for the engine mounts & should have the motor back in this weekend.
  22. As far as I know it doesnt tilt the box. the bellhousing is from a guy who makes them in the phillipines. I was at a mates garage last night, he has a dellows hiousing for Mazda3>W58…that didn't have any ribbing either...
  23. hehe cheers Scott.
  24. Painted engine mounts: W58 Before: After: Porn shot of my Toyota playground: oh, and picked up an old RWD hilux diff (the one with straight axle tubes)…so the mad scientist can fix the stuff-ups by KCDR Drivertrains. To all tha haterz who said I couldn't fit the diff in my 2dr starlet:
