  3. Sweet thanks guys, and I'm gona have to pass on your offer for the engine dfunkt, sorry mate found a place much closer.
  4. Hello gentlemen, As i my 3K block is stuffed, i can aquire a 3K-C block. Just wanted to know if there are any differences from a 3K to 3K-C.As i will be using my 3K head and block internals. Are the sump and sump bolt patterns the same? Cheers
  5. Well personally speaking and considering its one of the best oils on the market, i would say yes. I am using redline oil in my K50, diff and 3K engine.
  6. Just wanted to know what metal a 3K block is made out of? Is it cast iron? Cheers.
  7. YOu should have told her to pay you 6 grand to clear the rubbish of her lawn. Do her a favour!
  8. Man Get some white walls on here, polish the shit out of it. That is all.
  9. But maybe he said 6 grand because there was a 20BT with T88 and mods to suit siting in it, but just hasnt been used for years.LOL what an idiot 6 grand. "Whats the retail on one of those?" "More then you can afford pal, RUST!!"
  10. Congratulations for giving the right answer, the man should hand over his gearbox as your prize. :jamie:
  11. I'm sure mods to the bonnet of any sort require an engineers cert?
  12. High Comp + forced Induction =KHHHHAAAAAAAAAABBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMM NOW THATS A FIRE.
  13. The only problem with red is it tends to fade over time.Especially if you have a cheap paint job.
  14. As it is a japanese manufactured car, go the jdm style paint.
  15. Make sure to tape up the inside groove when painting the pully otherwise the belt may have tendency to slip. Though if you do paint that area i think after a couple of km's the paint within the goove will peel off because of the constant rubbing, so better of covering it up anyway.
  16. Well considering we have mentioned painting the corolla space voyager, i presume we will have to use 1000 degrees exhaust enamel with about 24 applications. Then a final clear coat to get that shine. :'( I don't think exhaust enamel comes with many different colours though. This is more prep for and re-entry to earth as we don't want our moon cheese to melt.
  17. not if you weld training wheels to the sides.
  18. Well the man is thinking of getting new pistons. I would think he we would go flat top for maybe he wasnt interested in forced induction? It really dosnt bother me if it drops compression or not because it aint the mods that i will have done.
  19. I believe 3K, 3K bigport head on 5K block bumps up the compression ratio. I think the standard port size on a 3K head is roughly 28mm and for bigport roughly 30mm. Best bet about if you can put bigger valves into a 5K head would be to see a mechanic. Again nothing is impossible, it just costs money.
  20. It blows smoke only when you do a fuel dump. Mobile Barbicue out the back of a corolla. We will be the first ever to put a corolla on the moon.
  21. My cam is a clive 160 grind.
  22. Only reason i went aftermarket piston was because i had a crack in piston 1 and 2.So i thought might aswell go oversize while I'm at it otherwise would have kept the stock pistons.
  23. can i handle aero dynamics, I'm pretty usefull with cradboard, scissors and gaffa tape. :y:
  24. Taz you boost junkie!! Why don't you buy a car that comes with a turbo out of factory and leave the poor K engine NA and alone. HAHAHA Kidding mate, looks like an awsome setup there.love the the chrome and blue colour combo.
  25. The head will be the most expensive in order to benefit the engine. 1. Match porting - $500 2. Bigger Valves - $330 (I think they needed to be custom made to fit the head, not very sure) 3. Heavy Duty Valve Springs between $200 - $300
