But the beauty with electric assisted turbo is that you can have all t he advantages of a charger ie boost from idle, then have the advantages of the top end turbo, wile recharging your battery at the same time.

Just wait a couple more years IIRC Honeywell is working on a electric turbo, ie it has a motor/generator to counteract lag then it re-gens the power by using the generator to hold the turbo at the proper boost setting.
