Thats been done to a few threads and i think the topic starter gets the point By the way if the karma system will tell people if a particular individual is guilty of talking crap or being too lazy, why not just make the warn% publically visable because isn't it the same thing?

WOW, that was a spontanious whirlwind of feedback. well done too all expressing interest :) With John's late absence and Darrens new low imput due to other comitments i was loosing faith in the Vic region actually having a direction, but it must have just been a busy while for some people. There was a bunch of ideas thrown up about our next event A simple cruise, a cruise to the drags (Heathcote/Calder), another BBQ, go to the drive-in, Go-Karting. There all pretty sweet ideas and whatever we choose to go with we can always do one of the others next time, so don't worry if you had your heart set on something or can't throw some funds that way for a while. Last time i went go karting round where i live they jacked up the prices :) And there seems to be no shortage of members keen to participate in Vic's 3rd event, People so far in no order: GZE82 Clown Bianca TheNobbler Rollagurl Mrmoparman Bbq rolla Muller Eight cars perhaps with some passengers is a good turnout for us id think. We just gotta chose what people would like to do for this one though. Colin "Its not a stupid idea at all, it would possibly get more Vic mimbers involved which would be a good thing. I am personally interested anyway, even if I do have a wrong wheel drive rolla!" I'm for that even though i do have the right wheel drive car :P got a ke20 sittin not 10 meters away from me that i bought to do just that but havent got round to it yet. Like there are people who get all up in arms about the stupidity of chirping a wheel around a corner or roundabout, but thats harmless. Ive only reported someone once and its because the guy was either wasted out of his brain, high or so tyred that in about every 100 meters he would drift across from left to right. Mount the median in the middle and then across into the dirt of a tri lane highway. Jotted down the rego and rang the cops and said he is headed toward town and if you don't stop him he WILL hit a pedestrian.

But at the end of the day its up to the four administrative staff. But tighter policing should be considdered, but not just throwing weight around sort of thing.

You must, unlike me, have very steady hands. If your looking for more inspiration try looking at the mini-truck scene also. they have some wicked ideas for that style of thing. What about the other three? What is this karma system i read about, just an idea or something coming into play? ....and by the way people, 50 post minimum was just a random number. you could lower the limit to say 20 or so to get rid of the lazy people and hopefully be low enough for interesting contributors to stay around. I can see and understand all sides of the situation in question and there are pro's and con's for all sides. I think that perhaps the biggest problem here is trying to solve it in one simple go. If it were simple it would have been done already. Why not incorporate a couple of the ideas for the greater good of the club? -Post minimum to rid the exceptionally lazy people, 10 even? (Admin descretsion) -Make the rules more clear and concise -Make the search button larger -Use that gas chamber Also importantly, i don't know what peoples warn percentages are at so i can't see how strict admin is but it would seem that they/you are too soft. Step on some toes and if people don't like it they should have thought about it after there first warning, not start winging as they are being banned/suspended. I apoligise for such a long post but i am also wondering what the actuall point is of the post counters? Does my cool-ness multiply with each 100 posts i get? or is it a game to get to the top of the post whore pyramid? Or is it simply just an un written rank? I have 300 and something and i don't give a shit!!

Just wondering about the numbers for the next Vic event. I like the sound of a trip to the drags at Heathcoat strip. Since people don't really put there locations up, i have no idea of how many vic people there aven are. But the next step would be to find out how many people will turn up at the next event and see what we do after we know how many people will come. If its just going to be the four or five people who regularly post in the vic area then why not have a quick fix to the drags? When we had the Vic meet and greet there was a fair few people there though, 15 or so. If tiger wont be around for a little while then other people will have to take some initiative and plan something. So for now can the vic members please show an interest in participating in something in the coming months, to work some numbers out? thanks, Ashley

Thats what the 'Warn %' is for i thought. I don't think that you will ever stop it completely as there are stupid people all around us everywhere. :D For my idea. To try and stop the people with the 'sub 20 wonders' with the simple questions, which sounds like the largest problem for moderators and admin staff, you should have like a guest format. This would mean that people would have only the permission to view and reply to threads but not be able to create them. This would stop the lazy people from asking the "does this fit that" and "what goes harder" questions, and encourage people to participate in discussions before just asking things. Give a little, Get a little. Perhaps after 25-30 posts they would be able to creat a topic and the stupid questions will have been answered by simply looking. Or they are so lazy that they just give up and don't sign up here. If THAT dosent work make the search button link MASSIVE :y:

Hey, and welcome to the club. Theres loads of friendly people here and its nice to have people from abroad. BTW, i have a ke25 with the shelf that runs from side to side underneith the dash and its a handy little thing to have.

Oh yeah, i considered getting a TE27 but it was hard enough to find a whole car, let alone little peices of them. Think they came with the levins too, not sure
