havent met any of the lads from here but i reckon they would be a funney bunch so id come on as many cruses as you gus could put together i reckon, and if i can actualy make it too. my rolla wont be goin in time for the bbq either so ill just pinch my mums VT, :wink: got aircon?? :D

thanks for that jamie. what shocks would you suggest as well. ive heard good things about kyb shocks and almost nothing against them with regards to performance. 50mm isnt far though?? is it?? they quite a fair way off the ground standard.

man that is the best thing i've heard all day, couldn't have said it any better myself. But.......at the end of the day it all comes down to personal preference, attitudes, tastes and all that type of stuff. personally i think that trailor bitches should stay in there sheds and not come out. the whole ideae behind building up a car to that calibur is to show it off and get exposure. you can't tell me that taking it to a few car shows during the year is going to get it 'known' amongst the car scene. if they were serious then they would get in it, turn the key and DRIVE it. never mind if the sun gets on it, its out there. ps. planting the right foot will gain more exposure......I'm told.......but not always good.

i havent as yet gone to see any engineers about my project as I'm in no major hurry but ive asked around a little bit and have basically been told to expect a lot of "no's", "can't do that", "thats gonna be a lot of work" and that sort of thinking. was planning on putting a 13BT into my ke20 or an SR20DES into it. but if i get told to do anything major then id think about putting a 20BTT into it. have been talking to Grehm McFerson (spelling?) cause his brother Dave is putting a 20BTT into his ke20 (fastest untubbed rotary) :S f@$k they cost enough though. who knows

dam that is a neat rolla, but why is it so cheap? sounds like it should go for more around mid to high 20's. just means that someone's going to have a considerably cheap 9 sec drag weapon which still is sleeper rated in my book top ride. agree with tigers 3 paw rating (assuming its out of 5 :S )

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, thats funny as man. was just wondering about them and by the sound of it i don't need anything above standard and no way am i going to be passing the 120HP barrier anytime soon jamie. thanks people. i am still wondering about redwrd's 25 though; obviously it handles well and I'm not disputing that (11 or so years of driving as well) but in a couple of pics of it that i have it is far from flat when cornering hard. ;) don't think ill worrie about it then. save me some dollars anyway which is always good too. :P

Did a quick search for some info of sway bars and i came up with nothing helpfull to me. just so i don't cop any crap for just asking forst before i actually looked. i was just wondering if the swaybar that i have on a ke10/11 will fit onto my ke25?? :hammer: thanks fellas.

Well ill get started on my actual build-up/project but i'll still add lil bits about my 25 here and there, so...... As i stated on my intro for this build-up i found it in pretty dam good condition hidden away inside a shipping container for 10 years and bought it for the cheap old price (i thought anyway) of $1000 and took it home as soon as i could with the help of my cousins work mate and more importantly his trailor and ute. :y: Stuck it on the trailor and took it home where i just rolled it of the trailor infront of my house for all to see because the trailor wouldn't fit up the driveway. When my mum had a spare about dumping a car out the front like that which looked so dirty, beat up and in that sort of condition i sopose all that crap cause she cares about that kind of stuff. I have since littered the back yard with parts and of my various rollas which have been out and about (on the street) all of which are unregesterd and one which is absolutly TRASHED (aptly nck named 'f@$k bucket) i parked on the front lawn to demonstrate how good condition the other one is compared to that (was neally killed for doin it too) as she dosent want our street to give our house a reputation to be 'feral'. Pushed it up the driveway where i washed it about a dozen times as the dust of all that time had actually baked itself into the paintwork whish is pretty average anyway. Cheaned out the interior, threw out the crappy floor mats in the front and the carpet in the boot as well. Thats as far as it has come for at least 6 months, it just sat in the corner of the ward giving me a look that said "hurry up and do something with me already". I have since bought a house WITH A SHED and are now able to tinker with it at m own leasure. Stuck it in the shed and put it up on 4 car stands, pulled the wheels off it and the bonett and proceded to pul the engine out. Its just sitting in there untill i pick up an engine crain which should be later today and i can pul it out. mean while i started pulling the front gril, lights, inicators and a bunch of little things untill i came to taking the front guards off. Down to the last bolt (the one under the rubber to stop your bonet slamming to hard when closing it) and it just sits there spinning but the nut dosent. started thinking it it was something different so i tried the same one on the other guard. SNAP, shered the bolt head off......dam, what about this one........SNAP......f@$k!!! i can see that I'm going to have to drill out alot of the bolts which is a MASSVE pain in the arse. Undid the header bolts and layed the manifild ontop of the engine with the carb still attached and undo the rest of the exhaust bolts and then figure out that i have to take the engine out to get the 1 piece exhaust out or i could drop the dif out and do it that way. dosent matter to me as the car wil be down to just a shell in a couple of months and i can start paint stripping it and choosing a paint. I'm pretty made up on a gunmetal grey with white thick 5 spoke wheels with white walls. thats al i have for now but ill put up a bunch of pictures of my project rolla, and the one i parked on the front lawn for me mum :cool:

ooooooooohh, i get it. you mean your car? lol. na man i love your car and its my inspiration for a supercharged 5k :cool: I'm actually in the process of doin a few things to my red rocket at the moment. basically to clean it up a little more for the melb bbq thats organised cause i want it to look nice as well as its forcing me to get off my arse and get the things on my 'to do list' actually done. my list so far includes: swap old 3k (died) to 5k that I'm pulling out of the ke20 (actual project) and will have nothing else to do with Putting lowering blocks under the rear. Cutting the springs under the front. Paint strip and paint wheels whits with silver rim, buy tyers, fit, ballance and front end allignment. Get paint buffed. Buy some new black carpet. Tighten hand brake (no one else understands that it dosent have to touch the roof for it to be on) :y: Drop old and put in new oil (Engine, G/Box and Diff) Replace old with new oil filter . air filter and in line fuel filter. Horn stopped working the other day (find the problem and fix it) :) Die the piece of carpet on the dash as it has faded over time. Fit K-Mac front swaybar under front if it fits. its on a ke10/11 at the moment. Fix window winder on drivers side. Clean interior replace old with new: plugs, leads, points, rotor button, rotorcap, condenser. Then hopefully all goes well i can get it tuned as well. :D ive got from dec 17th 05 till jan 7th 06' -thats.......22 days i think. see how far i get cheers muller, neat25

ill come on down from bendigo for a look if i can get my rolla on the road. just going to throw a 5k into it to get down there, be takin it easy though cause i don't wanna be told to go home early by anyone :) ive made a list of the things i would like to get done before i get there and its up to 23 things so ill see how much i can knock off by then. :blush: hope to see you there, how many people is that up to now?? and whats the weather looking like for the day?? muller neat.25

my old man is going down to melb this weekend to pick up some wheels and I'm goin with him for something to do, but while I'm there I'm goin to ask about some wheels, and drop into sss auto and price an engine and some superchargers. while I'm there i might as well check out some others for the same things. does anyone know of any more shops that sell this kind of stuff in the melb area. i don't know much in the way of where anything is down there. much apreciated. muller

thanks for the info man, id gladly spend a grand on an old rolla to have some decent fun. couple more questions though... when you say it lasted a year of driving ard nd overheating it, what actualy gave out?? and how owuld you over come this problem if you didnt want to drive like a granny?? the sc you using is off a 4agze right? is it a throwaway charger or is it worth geting one rebuilt if its on its way out?? i know that turbos develop shaft play and sometimes its not worth rebuilding them. wheres your best bet to get a good condition sc or can you buy them new?? is the only reason you use the old sc's is that there dimadosen and cheap?? why not get something newer? thanks

my friend has his rx3 dyno's on optimax and it goes pretty hard though. he knows a little about the rotary scene and i havent heard him once complain about the fuel. where does mobil and caltex stack up against bp and shell??

best wheels that i have seen for an ol' skooler in a long time. what ever happened with them or did the idea just die?? did anyone get anwhere with prices and would -25 offset stick out from under the guards of a 2ke20/25. i know nothing aobut wheel sizes and ofsets and all taht yet as i have never really had to but some wheels that wernt stock thrash steelies :D

what is actually stoping you from uping the boost level anyway? I'm right in saying that you would legely have to get it engineered to run a 5k??? only alowed an extra 10% above the stock engine cc's arnt ya?? some rollas came out with 4k's already in them didnt they and a 5k would be allowed??. man i want a boosted 4/5k :D what would it cost to do anywa roughly?? including the sc/extractors/piping and everything?? thanks, muller

thanks man, ill have to look closer at them and see if i can find a brand or something stanped into the rim. i do like them but i don't know if id leave em on it though. altough they are pretty wide whatever they are, they almost scrub on the leaf springs. i mean wide for a little car by the way but ill have to look at the dimensions i guess. muller
