shit thats lazy, love it :D

just like to say, what a dickhead that that guy was. whatever happened to you break it you bought it. just cause its an old rolla dosent mean that you can just dissregard it or there not worth fixing, if you had been driving a porsche or something i bet he would have changed his tune.

HAHHAHAHA i hate small yappy dogs too, but i just lost it when i read the caption above the pic. "Random dog that showed up and decided to help me out!!" looks like a snowball :D

i don't think speed humps would cure it on our road as there would have to be like 10 of em or something. that would totally suck for him gettin well enough to accept the fine and loose his liscence, but he had it commin if you drive like that. like you said, if you play with fire.. i mean i don't really have a problem when people try to drift the roundabout but not when school hours are in session or something like that. the worst thing is that they could just spinout and nudge the fence damaging there car more than the fence. unless there taking a D1 entry line into the corner. i havent written anything or made any calls as there is not enough for them to take it seriously i feel. i think that i may have to wait for another accident :D how bad does that sound. i plan on taking it to the school first cause theyd be mad to say no to it and then there will be more weight to the argument if the school is with me on it. :y: prob just try for a 50kmh rezoning first and see if it makes a difference. its hard cause its not a highway but it has above normal amount of traffic and would slow alot of people down which would make them speed anyway. sorry about that jamie, wasnt atacking you but you must admit that what you said sounded criticising? well to me it did anyway. all sweet

i agree with the supercharging option. i also read in a magazine ones that bang for your buck goes, nitrus is actually at the top. as i have not actually hookes nos up to my ke25 i wouldnt know but its food for thought.
-
but people wouldnt do it if it wernt worth it. heavy springs are worth a bit sometimes and it wouldnt be worth doin it if it didnt work
-
electrics are the only thing that i don't have patience for in a car. will tackle anything else, but wiring shits me to tears. working on it though. wouldnt the multimeter on the battery tell you even faster than actualy changing the alt off the other rolla?

my old ke20 that i had, was taking a mate home and it was wet so i gave it to it goin round the corner but it just single spun and didnt kick out, but the point is that i had 12" stockies on it and chees cutter tyers and i reved first out and i hit at LEAST 8 grand, horrible noise. I'm rebuilding that one soon anyway. should go see if i can hit 9 :D what will a standard 4k not rev past? (not hi-jacking thread) i had the same problem with one of my engines, oil where it shouldnt have been but I'm pretty sure that it was just overtight plug tube thingis. squished the o-ring and bunched it up over one side. undid the 4 of them anyway, got some new o-rings and then she was all good to go again. no more oil. although my engine wasnt coughin and spluterin though. :y:

i know it isnt exactly what you were after but ive found this site to help out sometimes when i don't know something about an engine. its only simple stuff but you get that i also have never seen a site with so many diff engines specs on one page. http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/997...ineEngines.html admin should put it in the wiki or something i think, will help out other people.

right-o then, I'm up to date on them. 20 bucks isnt much for a genuine part which dosent really get changed all that often.

i still felt that i had to say something in my defence. anyway when my parents got the paper the next day there was a half page picture on the front page and looked worst than mine, and then another one on page 3 :D. it also said that there was a 19 year old male driving with no one else in the car and he is critical but stable so hes alright, kinda. and that police were searching for anyone who saw it happen.
-
how true is that. when you got a little car then just about anything even a smidge above standard will make a difference. i don't know about you but from a 3k up to an SR20DE is a good start. :D :y: i know a guy with a SSS pulsar with the SR20DE and he killed it without the help of forced induction :D

thats funny as, i also know people like that. its sad really isnt it. YOU, your just a psycho arnt ya? i don't know much about bikes but I'm guess in that a powerband in 6th gear is absolutly hicking. put your bike back together then? or you got 'CBF'? :D

hell yes with the SR engine

nuff said!!

don't i feel like a dick :$ whats the evo 3 gonna be then :D I like the stiff swaybar approach because it doesn't affect the front-rear weight transfer as much as the stiff spring approach. how does a sway bar designed for sidways movement minimalisation affect front to back movement?

so after all pro's and con's talk which would be a better engine? ie. reliable/good engine to build off

the speed limit is 60 around that corner and i took the skid photo to show how far that dar went from the corner to the impact. there was no way that he was doin less than 120-130 considdering the length and angle of the marks. just to clear up some things about the thread: i don't get off on seing pictures like that and don't like the suggestion that i do!! cause i don't. i am a volunteir member in our local SES and as you would imagine i HAVE had to deal with things like this before. i took the photos because 1. for my own personal interest (documentation of aresholes speeding down our street), we live on a road which is long flat and straight with a roundabout at each end and let me tell you this, if the fence around the roundabout or the signes on it or even the light pole in the middle of it arnt hit every couple of months id be happy. the roundabout shares a corner with a school aswell and its very unsafe. i have thought a few times about trying to get the speed limit in our street droped a little, 50 even would make a difference. 2. because as on MANY occasions that i have been involved in something of a serious nature like this the police are gratefull when you can provide pictures or anything for that matter which have been taken before the general public rush over and move things around and climb all over the accident scene. 3. so i could take them back to the ses headquarters and study them as a group and find diff ways in which things could have been done. ie. brace the roof as it was loose and could have imposed as a threat. other than me there was no one else with a fire extuingsher there. identifying other potential hazards. i don't know why i feel that i need to give an explination to this but i have so show people that i am not a weirdo or anything and sencerly appoligise to anyone who was shocked or offended by the pictures that have now been romoved. in hind site i would have not uploaded the photos to the site if i had known that it would have been taken to heart like this.

so seing as they both cost around the same amount then it would be better to go for the Z68 as this is a genuine toyota filter?

HOLY f@$kING SHIT BATMAN. sitting here posting and readin a bit of stuff on rollaclub and then SSSCCCRREEETTTCCCHHHH BANG SMASH. threw some pants on and go for a run down the street and theres a car firmly wrapped around a tree on the front of someones lawn. come round a very loose sweeper, would have to have been doin well over 100kmh to loose it on the corner and 4 wheel slide it into a tree like 80 meters down the road from the corner. that was a 7, and now a chopper just landed beside the house practically at 20 past 7. must have really done some dammage. and while i was inconspicuasly taking pictures i was told to go away and that i was sick for taking those pictures. had a fire extinguisher in my other hand and at least i was doing something. picks.

no i don't actually think that a sterio and carpet would save me the few kilos i need to get the power that holds me back from beatin that ferari that gets around town:p i just like the raw attitude that it has to step into a rally spec streeter :D don't get me wrong. the 25 that i drive at the moment has everything in it and i have brand new carpet on the way and ima buy a head unit soonish. but for my ke20 that is soon to be my daily when the reg runs out on my coupe will be basically abused i reckon and my sister will be learning to drive in it and it wont really be looked after by the other people in my family. even though they try (not car enthusiasts). mum and sister with rings/nails that scratch up the paintwork underneith the handles and on the bit that you usually grab to open it when the window is down, mums hiheel shoes tare hols in the carpet anyway over time. and besides i HATE people in the back, 9 out of 10 times there drunk and i hate goin somewhere and people go "hees sober, take me here" and i go "do i look like a taxi mate??" i don't expect it to be a show car and i certainly havent got the money but for now i like the back to basics look of it.

so what your saying is that i need to put evo1 suspension under my ke25?? :D all evo's are fantastic at just about everything and are renound for excellent handeling charactaristicts. personally my fav car is actually the evo3 gsr and yes i know its rice and NO i don't care. why the hell is good suspension so expensive dam it. you really don't need top shelf to make an old rolla handel 'well' but not fully hectik as such.

couple of things. i thought that the aussie vl and the r31 both shared the nissan engine which were all from the one place? i have a mate with an N14 pulsar, it has broken everything!!! mostly to do with his driving styl and 4puck button clutch. broken engine, gearbox, driveshaft severed, brakes, and the interior is falling apart all by itself. its sad to see really. i wouldnt considder them a reliable car goin on his example but thats of course its only one example. TX-3's can look tuff as with some little things done to them, but its one of the VERY few 'chick's' cars that i would be happy with. not attacking what you said but I'm just curious. especially about the RB30 skyline/commodore engine origins.
