  1. I don't actually know, but I think its in the one contained constructed part, as far as i know. Anyone else able to shine a light on this?
  2. Lol, fiar enough tally, but I was actually after these... Click Here!
  3. Awesome! Cheers! I have actually been trying to ring them to inquire about some front springs, but no one seems to answer after 5! Will have to try earlier tomorrow. Will let you know how I go :drgrim: How much did they cost btw?
  4. G'Day all, I'm searching for a few things that I need for my Ke20 that are proving a little difficult to source, and I am hoping someone has some idea where I could obtain them, or what direction I should look in. The list so far is as follows... Strut Top Mount Insulators Bumper Front Seat and Shock Absorber Dust Cover I have looked on the forums and can get the Strut Top Mount Insulators from and Ebay source, but would love to find someone Local (eg, anywhere in Australia). These were the names given to these particular parts from my trusty Gregroy's Service Manual, so if they are called something else or have an official Toyota name, please feel free to tell me, it would be much appreciated. I really am trying to find these new, as all the second hand parts seem to be in the same condition as those already on my Ke20. Anyone think they can help me out?
  5. Hi All, I picked a pair of these up a little while ago and have been meaning to get around to paying them the attention the require. They had been sitting for a few years, but the butterfly's still move in a nice smooth motion and with a decent clean they should come up nice. I am thinking about buying a DHLA40 rebuild kit, something like this... Click Here I was wondering if anyone else has done a similar service to their Dellorto's or equivalent, and how they found the experience. Would this be all that is required for a fully serviced carburettor? I need to get the two carbs re-jetted to suit my motor (hopefully a 5K to replace the 3K in my 1972 Ke20), should this be done first, or can it be achieved after the new kit? Also, whats the best thing to clean these beasts with? I did spend around 2 hours initially with a toothbrush and a tin full of petrol giving them a mild clean with some good results, but If someone can suggest something better, I am all ears. Any help would be great. This will be a massive learning curve for me, with my aptitude being more electronic/electrical.
  6. I have a Ke20 corolla, with drum brakes all round. Atm, the only thing stopping me from driving my peanut around are the brakes. They are in need of reconditioning If I am to be driving the car with the standard setup, with new shoes and Drum machining needed to make this shitty brake setup work, trouble is, I'm no way near prepared to pay the $600-$1000 I have been quoted for all round reconditioning, which I think is ridiculous! I am wanting an alternative people. I have been told that the Ke55 braking system is a bolt on job to my corolla, enabling Disc at the front and drum on the back. If this is true, this would be a nice cheap option/upgrade that would surely do the job. It would also change my stud pattern to the more common 114.3 and not the 110 the Ke20's have. Can anyone confirm this at all, or whats needed to make it possible? Also is it just a matter of bolting on the entire drum system from the Ke55 onto my Ke20, or will i need to change the entire diff, as I obviously do not want a different stud pattern on the front compared to the back. All help greatly appreciated! I need to get her moving and this is the only thing stopping me.
  7. Indeed! I have been informed that the Ke55 braking system slots right into place on my Ke20... is this a certainty? I am interested AE70, and have PM'ed you.
  8. Hi All. I'm commencing in the restoration of my 1973 Corolla Ke20. Its a little old, needs a little work, but mechnically its in preety darn good nic! I do however have a problem with my brakes. Now, its more of a delimma than anything... I was thinking of switching the 4 drum brakes for disc brakes, but I am told this will take a bit of modification. What I would like to know is, whats the best thing "brake wise" for me to do. Do I stay with the original braking system or do any of the members here have information on other alternatives. I'm in South Australia so any information on brake retailers that may be able to help me would be great.
