  1. +1 for excedy.
  2. Just about everything ke30 and 55 are interchangable, so if it came from a 55, it will fit a 55, unless the person you got it off may be mistaken?
  3. If you can, take a picture (or 2) and post it here, at least one of us can tell you exactly what you have, cheers!
  4. Thats some serious milk going on there, i'm assuming just a blown head gasket?
  5. na man, that was 2 weeks ago, ha ha, took the pontiac up instead, 2 door corolla's make it difficult for a baby seat, seen reeds rolla there, next walk around lap and he was gone.
  6. weather is going to be fine, well.............so they say, i'll be there at some stage in the night.
  7. Anyone heading down for a looksy friday night?
  8. good to hear you have decided to keep it, i'll be watching. cheers!
  9. Does the owner still race ke20's? Had a whole heap of them last time i was there.
  10. Sorry if this sounds dumb, when you say capacitor, are you meaning on the positive to the stereo or on the lights themselves? I have tried a secondhand suppressor on the stereo but to no avail. B.L.Z., i would go back to bulbs although i can't even find a half decent lense to replace the originals with, if push comes to shove i may have to find alternate led's. cheers!
  11. Hiya Rollaclubbers, I have a bit of a problem and need some light shed on the matter, so many thanks in advance! okey doke, the storey so far................ The other week my missus had broken the front indicator lense on her car, and with the car being made in the dark ages its very hard to track down a replacment, so i decided to purchase a L.e.d. indicator/park light assembly(s) through TJM, once i had hooked them up, (mind you every thing works as its suppose to), i have now got a static problem occuring through the radio.......................... Meaning- When the radio is on in the car, i turn the park lights on, and static is all that can be heard from the speakers, - And the same occurs when the indicators are in operation............................? These symtoms have only occured once fitting the led lights, the problem wasn't there before. Things i have done, -earthed out all the lights direct to the chassis -rewired the stereo directly to the battery -replaced the stereo earth with a heavier guage wire. I'm buggered to know what it may be? I even wen't down to jaycar and explained the problem to a staff member, he gave me a response as if i was coming down off a hit of cocaine or something, ha ha. Surely i'm not the first to have this problem, if anyone has a solution to this, i'm all ears!!! cheers, clapped out!!!
  12. ^^^^^^^^^^^Saw this same hardtop driving on the hwy near maroochy yesterday.
  13. The 4k engine you used, was it once bolted to an automatic transmission?
  14. Your on the money, unless you have a lot of $ or time and patience, not to mention the clearance issues with the big end bearing caps hitting on the lower cylinder wall and the inside of the block by putting the 4/5k crank into the 3k block, cheaper to just do a 4a conversion or something.
  15. I don't have the facebooks unfortunatly, i'm escentric, i got lost in the dark ages, ha ha.
  16. is this still the last friday of every month? Might go over for a looksy this month.
  17. Do what i do, just don't sell any and keep buying more! lol!
  18. Ive used these guys a few times, never a drama!
  19. By the looks of it, it will do me well for a parts car  .
  20. ^^^agreed, i believe the auto is a better option too!
  21. Running 15x7's +12 offset, you wont have any dramas at all either fitting on the front or rear of your ke30, no need to roll guards either, cheers!
  22. heya tez, By the sounds of it, you have tried cranking the engine and turning the dizzy at the same time for it to fire up, just the lazy way of doing it......... How is the timing sync with the bottom end as opposed to the top end? What i mean is taking the rocker cover off and looking at the characteristics when you crank the engine as between the rocking gear and crank position. If its within reason you'll still have compression in all cylenders, if it was out heaps the valves wouldn't be sealing (obviously lol) on any given compression stroke, and by rights could cause internal damage to valves and pistons. I'm sure with your experience you've seen this before. One other thing i can think of is what you have stated in your heading, it would be hard for the timing chain to skip a tooth, although i'm not saying its impossible. I have had the locating pin for the timing chain on the cam shaft sproket sheer off before and slightly throw the timing out, pain in the arse when you don't know what the problem is. I just hope you find the problem sooner than later, cheers!
  23. Was it a blind guy who owned it????? ;)
  24. Certainly looks solid, if you don't mind me saying so!
  25. Good on ya tez!!!!
