  1. Um picture should tell all. Unbolted everything and dragged the shell off. Its an Ae71 For those interested Anyone else done anything like this?
  2. FWIW ke20 guards are fairly big. Its not the 12 inch diameter that makes them look small, its the width of the rim sitting so far in the gueard that makes it look so small.
  3. Nice Datto. Ill have to show my mate this thread, He has 2 1200 coupes. One Race car running an a15, and one is going to be used as a daily one day. What other plans you got for this thing besides the a12gx build up? These things look tuff as hell with about 4-5degree's of negative camber and fat wheels.
  4. Nice Ride. Is this so you can bring the KE55 off the road for a while is it? or retire her to motorkhana's?
  5. My KE25 has a 3k 4speed in it. I fitted a Tacho up to it, It sits on 4000RPM at 100km (Speed found using GPS as speedo still in Miles). I drive it as it is with no drama's. Cruise on the highways etc for extended periods without getting sick of hearing it.
  6. That is one very Awesome TA22 man. Nice work
  7. Was an awesome day...even with the rain...I drive a Vehicle equipped with a K-Series.....Rain doesnt bother me. Unfortunate for all you out there with real engines though. I must thank Mick, Andrew, Radrollaz and everyone for making it a good turnout. And It was a very Entertaining trip.
  8. I'm a Definate. Ill be there. And in my own car this time. See you all on the day
  9. It is naturally aspirated. It has a duggan head, motec fuel injection, 60thou oversize, using a 202 crank modded to suit the 186 crank journals, knife edged crank, etc etc....so in short. the motor has had more money spent on it than any red motor should have spent on it.
  10. Good Work on the car so far. I know that yellow car, used to be owned by HRV00S from lithgow. It is very rusty from what i remember. And nah i wasnt at the khanacross. Whens the next one your going to? ill make an effort to get there. And john windsor does really good for what the car is. The track condition by the end of the day is what turns me off running in them most of the time, that or work. Cheers Jake.
  11. Hey all. Been a long while of inactivity in this thread, Well updates, - Getting some new rims (got a mate picking them up tomorrow) some 13x8 Superlites - New rims mean stud pattern change needed, and bolt on flares NEEDED (not wanted) lol - Got a rwd intake manifold for a 4age for when i do the conversion - Polished half of my engine bay....i was bored...and it turned out sooo good. just need to wait for a dry day to finish it. Not much else has been happening with it, its been doing its job of daily driving withgout fail. Doesnt like the temperature conditions up here though. Might need to kit the carby (not getting much fuel when cold weather)
  12. My mate has a gemini coupe sports sedan. Running a holden 186 making 300hp atw. Although there is not much gemini left of it. Spaceframed, BIG fibreglass flares, 9inch wheels etc. But no way in hell of getting that street legal. Have you thought of nissan motors (since your already cross breeding) as much as I'm a toyota purist. Sr20det would go alright in one of them i think. The make good power straight out of the box. and have torque to go with it.
  13. Better not be a Datsun. lol
  14. Next time ill be down that way will probably be the 1st july. so we could organise to do a meet up seeing as there is a bit of time until then. (I'm from bathurst so not much chance any other time, I'm down in sydney for work from time to time). If anyone thinks that could be a good idea???
  15. 3SGE beams would be an idea of something different you could do. It has been done before, so you know it will work. But its nowhere near as common as the 4AGE conversion is. It would be much easier IMHO and there would be information about it on the web. Just some food for thought. If you do the F20C conversion It would end up being an awesome rig once its finished.
  16. In the end its just their word against yours. If they say they have it out, but your appealing that they didnt, the courts will probably believe the cops. You could just be trying to get out of it as far as they are concerned as you are in the wrong. If i am genuinely in the wrong for something ive done, i don't get upset about it. I just accept it. I don't try to pick little things that the copper didnt do right to get out of it. Unlucky about getting caught mate. Good luck with your appeal for the 1 point.
