What Grinds My Gears.
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to andro0o's topic in Rollaclub Social (Off-Topic)
Is it a wireless keyboard? If it is then the batteries might be going flat or its out of range of the reciever, If not...f@$k knows -
I spose i better speak on behalf of nsw forum members. They had a horrible game, bad defense, bad offence and bad reffing (like game 1 so i don't get flamed by all the qld supporters). So yeah qld won this one, see what happens game 3 ey?

KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to radrollaz's topic in NSW / Sydney
Well its confirmed, I'm in for the cruise. Anyone else from out this way coming down? Get the mini cruise to the cruise happening? Cheers Jake -
Came out of hiding today, took it for a spin in the paddock. Has problems with starting (battery and fuel), The temp gets all the way to H before ill let it cool down (not really fussed if it goes bust), and yeah, gave the newly acquired steering wheel a run in on this corolla. Paddock has seen better days.

My Ke25...back Off The Road
KE70-from-mt-panorama replied to KE70-from-mt-panorama's topic in Rollaclub Rides
Small update thats not so good. Decided to give the ke25 a service on saturday, and change the thermostat housing as it was all corroded. So did the service took off the old thermostat housing, cleaned it all up and went to put the new housing back on, did up one bolt, then the next one, half way in...snap. Head broke off. OH GREAT! So me and my mate tryed all the tricks, tryed my dads stud removers etc etc. Couldnt get it out. So i decided ill wait for dad to get home and he can have a look at it. He got home, had a look and decided that we should take the whole housing section off, so he starts to undo the bolts...snap! next one...snap! so now have 3 broken bolts that are stuck in very tight. So she is off the road for the time being, dad is going to work on them tomorrow instead as it was night when he looked at it yesterday. So I'm a bit unpleased that she is off the road. But at least it didnt break down, It was all while we were working on it anyway. So while i was waiting i painted a few more parts silver. I also Bought a cheap decal from supercheap for shits and giggles, which I'm yet to put on the car (can be removed without damage and I'm planning on doing a quick respray on it at some stage in the near future in original colour) So yeah, should be performing daily duties again shortly...I'm missing her already. Cheers -
you know whats funny, i was looking at those exact plates on the white bordered, then when i was about to go get them i thought i would double check if they were still available...they were gone. now i know where to. instead i got KR-01-LN

That would be why its taking so long. He isnt going to gain anything out of it, (except debt gone). So there is no rush for him in his eyes as you arent a "Paying Customer" I see and hear about this sorta stuff way too much. My sister was in the whole "street racing" group in bathurst before she moved, but all the stories i heard bout them doing backyard jobs for each other to save some dosh, It never worked out most of the time. half prepped cars driving around, or if they were sprayed it had loads of runs, sound systems installed with all the wiring out in the open, cars off the road waiting for the engine to be put back together etc. Its all bullshit IMHO. I Have come to the conclusion that I'm either going to do it my self or pay someone to do it properly. Sorry to hear bout this though, I hate hearing about KE25's and the like being off the road for so long. Hope you get it back soon man Cheers Jake

Well bout time i updated this thing...not much has happened got my personalised number plates KR-01-LN, painted the grill and corner garnishes silver (just straight over the black no prep work) to see how they look on the car silver. Got the genuine o-ring but to no avail...still leaking. cleaned the engine off, ran it for quite some time and looked to see if i could see a leak...some oil had started to appear on one of the 2 bolt holes in the block just above the fuel pump. what are/were these used for anyway? Will get dad to have a proper look one arvo for me. will grab some new photo's for you all tomorrow in the daylight. Also bought some new speakers and got my mate (grandson of the lady i bought it off) to make the boxes for them. (so they are all straight and flush). Now just waiting on a time (i works 6-7 days a week) when i can get him to help me to carpet them and the rear parcel tray in black carpet. The speakers are Kenwood 6x9's for those interested. Cheers Jake -
driveline into something else huh? still got the old rusty scat?? just for shits and giggles

Well. i got bored when i was on one of the machines at work. Keeping up with the machines is hard...waiting for them is harder. so bloody boring, but i get paid. anyway in my waiting for the machine i got creative with the plastic offcuts and the cardboard bench. my chessboard. please excuse the dodgy pieces. it was the best i had to work with.

Very good. How low is your ke70? from sill to ground and from x-member, diff etc to ground?
-
Just get some (1 or 2) people to lift the body of the car up and then let the jack down and out then get them to drop it. That should work.

Black Rim, Chrome trim ring, Whitewall...That is all you need. Will look much better than silver because (as stated) there will be a colour difference.
