Bonnet cap is sikaflexed on. It doesnt need any fibreglass, Ill just smooth out the siki with the sander as its sandable and paintable. Word. Marine grade so it sticks well to the fibreglass bonnet. Sits a tiny bit low on the drivers side but I don't mind, its more about the factory seconds d-max bonnet than the scoop. Air gap:

Looking For Mungi Mods. Where Are You Terry?
LittleRedSpirit posted a topic in Automotive Discussion
Hi Members, I'm trying to get a hold of Mungi Mods. I don't know where he is or what he is doing at the moment. If anyone has seen him or has contact details please let me know. I have his engine crane and some nice tools of his and Id like to return them, as well as to catch up with someone who has done a great deal for Rollaclub members. :clover: Cheers, Matt -
Looks like we need someone in a lhd market to find this for you. Id be PM ing any members you can from Europe or the US to find the bits.

Adjusted the hatch and marked how Id like to trim it to even up the gaps. Adjusted the bonnet and scribed in the cap. Made some reinforcements to the bonnet with 1.6 mm thick aluminium strips. One between the layers and one on top to screw the back of the cap to. I'm letting it have a little gap there at the back to vent the thing a bit. Once the sealant sets Ill be screwing down and adhering the cap on. Then Ill most likely glass it on to be sure it wont ever fly off whilst in motion. I can look at painting the glass panels soon I guess.

As is always the case, I just dumped about 4 of these with ke70 looms for scrap metal two days ago. I'm sure someone will have the part you need and make an affordable parcel for you. You could get a wiring diagram and try to decipher what's going on, but its probably easier to score some parts off of our European members. We have a few Norwegians that may be of assistance, there's David, and then there's the fellow with the volvo 5 cylinder ke70, and a few others. Have a search through the site my friend. I'm sure someone can hook you up. Might be worth trying to see if the fault was triggered by some other short somewhere else in the car.

Just purchased the e420 D adaptronic ecu for this car. Finally! Take a few days to arrive, which gives me a few days to finish it off once and for all.

The knocking could be loose gland nuts, which if so would need immediate tightening. You use a massive pipe wrench and do them up as tight as they go. The binding is normal, but can be reduced with techno toy tuning needle bearing spring perches.

So with space at a premium right now, there was no better place for my Recaros than installed in the car. I had the exhaust shop weld some plates to expand where the rails meet the floor, then I trimmed em down and re drilled them. Painted them flat black and its all fitted now. Happy with the cockpit, but I could use a slightly longer bosskit. Need to adapt the diff bushes next. Also fit caster arms, wire up a couple of things and then fill with oil and mark the dipstick.

You can buy fcr manifolds for them i think.

Ha cheers guys. It will get nicer once its all tuned and on the road, as Ill pull the motor and put the pistons in it some day, get a valve job, tidy the ports and just generally improve things, and at that time Ill mirror polish the mag alloy top cover and fit the polished timing housing too. Then it will really blind you when the sun hits it! Might fit the caster arms today, and head off to have the seat rails and lower 4 links modified too. Here's a for the fans!

Put coolant in her today. Ill most likely have my seat rails modified this week so I can bolt in the seats, I don't have room for them to be sitting around. Still need to fit caster bars and my exhaust pipes, but the pipes need a tweak to fit perfectly. :lovin: I think Ill just have a pair of lower 4 link arms modified with an mx 13 sized bush at one end to make the rear end work without having to do any more welding on the diff. Might get that done when I get the seat rails done.

Thanks Dave. Just need to bolt in the exhaust pipes, the stone tray, do up a couple wires and fit the bonnet and cap. Then it moves home for the first time ever, in a fairly complete state.

Got most of the accessories pieced back together, so far so good, no broken things aside from one wiper motor I should never have molested and Ive even been painting a few things and cleaning up all fasteners etc. Got some fresh black powdercoated caster bars and swaybar mounts to fit. Also have painted the swaybar. CBF getting nolathane d bushes for it, but I have a new pack of nolathane end bushes to fit. Painted the brake fittings in cold gal, its a pretty bright silver, looks good. Also painted the clutch mc and flat blacked the booster after some brake fluid ruined its paint before. Blew out all the lines, and tucked all the fuel lines away hopefully far enough that they miss the bellhousing and clear everything.

Shits silver as ʞ©$ɟ now. Cheers to Callum for topping and clearing the car up for me. We actually found 3 litres of clearcoat in the shed so we just used that. I also had him blow a tiny bit of paint over the areas that had other shitty silver rattle can on them to blend it in nicer. Epic! Finished product.
