  1. Haha. Try it. Will be funny. Hypoid gear sets are all matched correctly, you definitely cannot mix and match like Dwarf said.
  2. I doubt anyone just happens tou have one lying around haha! The dashes are rare as! I don't think mine has anything written on it. Have you got stuck into reconfiguring your dash plug yet? I have written down the sequence you need to follow to reorder it properly, I will track it down tomorrow and let you know. TP.
  3. Hmm, I'm thinking a recored ke20 item would be a good place to start. Upullit here I come! Any price indications on getting it recored? TP.
  4. My summer beer is just ready to bottle! Used a Munters Lager kit with Coopers liquid amber malt, about 20L for that slightly higher alcohol content. Taking advantage of the cooler weather with Lager yeasts! Then when it gets warmer, I'll slap on a few fine ales!
  5. Sounds like the height of good entertainment to me - poxy pulsar rubbish getting bent!
  6. do they still do that braking distance, touch the touchscreen at the right moment test in Vic?
  7. Folks, Just wondering what sort of Radiator upgrades people have slotted into there early KE's? I was going to rip mine out and get it flushed, but if there's a known swap over that fits up nicely and gives a bit more capacity, slap some pics up. Especially if its a KE1x. TP.
  8. Yeh pete's a gun but he don't like tyre kickers thats for certain! He always has good stuff to check out though.
  9. I might even have some wheels on my A Model for the vintage run in 3 years time.
  10. winkles tough wheels man. MY mate has a set of those on his T18 I reckon. Very cool.
  11. Double walls look the goods. I might knock up some pins to fit stock ke10 centrecaps on my car I reckon. Where'd you pick up the 11?
  12. Everyone is right there man - if you get pulled over with a turbo, you'll still get done. drop a 5k in, it'll look stock enough that you wont need to worry about it. Plus you should be able to get it registered with a 5k anyway.
  13. Dellortos aren't that hard to fit, mine have about 50mm clear to the strut tower. You wont be able to run long trumpets, stub stacks will be the best bet, but ramflo's or a unifilter cage will go in there. Like mentioned, 40mm DHLAs with 28 or 32 mm chokes will do it.
  14. yeh the old stick in a chip and go fully sick performance shops haha. Inside your dizzy there is a set of counterweights and a guide plate. Recurving it basically means you are modifying the springs and your guide plate to change how the carb advances. Take a look at this The pic just past half way shows the 2 counterweights (cam like) and the spring loaded guide plate. The spring sets how fast the timing advances - lighter equals full advance faster, firmer means slower advance. The slots with the tabs on the outside of the guide plate set the maximum advance. I have a pdf on how to set your own advance curve at home, by using a file and bunch of springs etc. I'll see if I can find it, it's a good read even if you're not doing it yourself.

It might have been white actually. The silver one I was thinkin of was the one with the red 3 spokes kicking around. theres a few up blackwood way.
  16. We'll have words! Hey it wasn't you that sold me an Exedy Sports Tuff clutch for a K50 about 3 weeks back? Lunchtime monday or tuesday?
  17. Could just be a leaf from a mitsi that is the same length etc as the KE20 item. Possibly just been adapted to fit.
  18. Yeh I might do the same.... Good idea. Raven, you get any cheap prices on Bolts from Coventry? I paid 40 bucks for the bolts to hold my block to the engine stand from the Edwardstown store the other day...
  19. yeh, get them tuned. Also, try changing the exhaust though that might not be that big a difference. dunno what k motor nuts told you 40s are too big, there's plenty of people around the place running them with great success. Also, I wouldnt bother putting a good set of twins on a blower setup for drawthrough. The money you could sell the twins for would fund a weber downdraft blowthrough turbo setup!
  20. there's a plug on the side of the box. Park it on flat ground and get under there, find the plug and undo it. Gear Oil bottles have a little tube on them, poke the tube in and squeeze the oil into the box til it overflows. oh yeh - drain the old oil out the bottom first too.
  21. Coker in the US make them, but they're aiming more at the rodders, so big ass wheels etc.
  22. can't understand why that would be the case? What do they do with new cars, stick old pads on em haha?
  23. actually, now I recall, there was a comment that the Peugot rims are the 4x108 items. EDIT - Confirmed it, don't use peugot rims, they are 4x108 Click
  24. Sweet Jeebers, he wouldn't have held that pedal to the floor longer than 3/4 of a second at a time.... nuts.
  25. 7000 rpm - listen to this thing at Idle, 7000 will sound much, much worse. I dig the fact that you'll actually lose power with one of these belt drives. fully!
