  5. Hey All, Got a set of 13 x 6 with I think 185/60 on there, seem okay, Just got another set with 205/60, but I'm guessing there gonna be like boats, Whats the best size to run on em... Few points for all the warriors: - I have done a search, but I'm after personal opinions - No I'm not a fkn drifter - No I'm not going to go buy 14 x 8 - This is just for the daily pie-van :)
  6. Des, What was the deal for the tow-ball defect..?
  7. I've often wondered what the wags rear would look like shaved, You could get around the license plate issue easy by recessing it into either the hatch or the bottom section. Not sure what I think of it though... sorta looks a little too much like a gemi... :P Think I prefer the chrome bar look..
  8. Yep I'm with Philbey on this one, I haven't done ginger beer but have done about 10 or so home brews so far and I reckon its probably the bottles, plus a little too much sugar. Hard to be able to tell now though if it didn't finished fermenting or if you added to much sugar to the bottles for carbonation... 9 days seems a fair time in the fermenter unless its been at to low a temp and gone to sleep, do you have a stick on thermometer on the side?? Otherwise I'd be going with some heavies bottles, regardless of if you want to use stubbies or longnecks, get pop-tops not screw tops. Good thing you had em in that plastic box, those glass shards look hectic!! :sob:
  9. WOW.... now thats a nice panno... Welcome to the club.. How come hubby wont help you finish it off, only sounds like a few hours work tops..? :sob:
  10. haha Just spotted myself on Google maps street view!! #uckers have pictures of everyone
  11. Yeah Mate, that was me. Was heading back up to Bris, I didn't see ya..Were you in one of your rolla's? :bash:
  12. Matt Black Ae71, pulling out of Motorline @ Springwood/Logan this morning at around 8:30am. Anyone here..?
  13. 7 litres to the hundred.... thats great  !
  14. 1. Can sleep in the back easy, I do it all the time when I head up or down the coast. If your real tall then you just need to push the seats forward. 2. I agree with Paul on parts, the front end is a pain in the arse, The rest is quite interchangable with the 70/71's except for the alternator... wow don't get me started on that piece of nipendenso brain explosion.. 3. Cost is relevant to condition, expect to pay a little more than the something the same in the sedan. and yeah I agree the wagons are worth a look into as well, cept they're getting harder to source in good nic also!! :(
  15. Cause their massive, It would be like having a complete glass rear wall
  16. I just have a feeling that the hilux will be slightly too wide and not give you enough room between the glass and where you need to round the edges, I can't remeber how wide it was on my old hilux or I'd measure it across the back of my pano for ya.. Pic 90-95 Hilux x-tra cab... would be perfect if it fit... :yak:
  17. I agree with Taz Rx, Hilux rear screens are flat as so this will help with fittment, plus you can get ones that slide open (optional) If a hilux is too wide try a datto ute or an early mazda ute. Shame to see a pano cut up, but I've seen a yellow 70/71 ute and it looked sweet, GL with it!! :)
  18. Useful trick if you can be bothered, Cover your distributor in a plastic bag, just roughly wrap it around the top in and around leads etc, Then degrees the engine and bay and then remove the bag, I'd still hit it with wd40, but the bag should have stopped most of the water getting near it.. :)
  19. I've run blocks and see no problem with them at all. Ofcourse I wasn't hectically drifting my hilux.. :abuse: Sometimes you may need to keep you original leaf pack at stock... hence blocks are an easy way to drop the height and can be taken in and out very easily... For a daily I don think they are a problem, they wouldnt be ADR approved if they were.... As far a cost comparison goes there's a big difference... But if you do want to use this for track then get your leaf pack professionally reset, don't start flipping leafs yourself... Just my oppin :owned:
  20. Quads are hard to do because of the different sized corner lights.. means that there is a massive gap to the quarter panel, much bigger than the standard sedan gap... can't believe how good condition those front and rear bars are..... :)
  21. ^^ serious ?
  22. Kris, Hope you can manage to save a few things,if and when the sun comes out up there... I've heard its still been raining a fair bit. Glad to hear you managed to save the 20.. true Corolla enthusiasts!
  23. Try Hilux 95 year model, Which probably means that 90-96 had the same ones also.. Should be just about the right size for that gap.. I'm pretty sure it was about half din size and spring loaded as well, I will look for a photo for ya.. ..Was the best feature about my hilux :P Love this build-up :jamie:
  24. Hey Raven, Cheers, will definitely check windscreen and doors, just though it was odd not to find a wet trail from the leak. Don't think its the heater, but will double check.. :y: dfunkt... wish I had one!!
  25. Hey All, Need a bit of help regarding water leaking in from the fan/heater (as I think this is the problem). :P The Story Got into the Pano last night and found at-least a foot of water (slight exaggeration) in the front passenger foot well. So I then proceeded to tear the car apart and found the padding under the vinyl flooring (yes panos had vinyl not carpet) was absolutely saturated meaning the water had got passed the vinyl somehow also.. Now its been raining for a while in Brissy so this could have been an accumulation over a few days I'm guessing.... Anyhow I took out all the plastics surrounding the area, all the way back to the fan. I got a torch and ran my hands over all the surfaces up the back of the firewall and down the side pillar etc, but I couldn't find a water trail. Floor is also watertight and plugs are in-tact so its definitely coming from above.. The only place I found water was on the base of the fan, (dripping off one of the screws), so I proceeded to tear that apart and then went and took out the bonnet cowling and searched in the air vent/channel (where wipers screw into). However with the way the body channels down to the fan I can't see how the water is leaking into the fan... :y: At the moment my only thought is that the water has made it in because the fan was on 'outside air' not 'recycle', but that shouldn't really cause it to happen either.. Anyone thats had a similar problems any info would be great... :S In the mean time I'm going to re-seal everything up again and then hit it with the hose and check for leaks...
