holy cow! i found this when i searched teamtoyminator on google image search. this is by far the most wicked rolla eva! clean up after u have seen this.. Carl
-
hey ive got the haynes (unopened) book on the ke70 rolla, would it cover the 4ke engine(efi model)? cheerz Carl :D
-
ahhh grimmie!! ur a ricer!! look in the background of the photo...do i see a 180sx??? hehehe kidding dude.. would it enhance performance, and sound, to gut the sandard muffler, largen the hole and put a phat tip on it? carl :D
-
sorry for high-jackin medicine man!! all i know of is cannons, so thats why i asked is there anything that is better for our rollas? maybe like an oval muffler with a tip pointing towards the ground, that wuld look half descent.. carl :D

what would be needed to build up an efi unit? i mean, this is how i look at it.. weld up four pipes, ends going to the engine of course, and the other ends meeting up into a plenum- thats the basic manifold there. shouldnt be to hard to do, if u copy like the old manifold end that goes onto the engine(dunno what its called) and then its basic welding. then all thats needed is like afm, throttlebody, injecters (maybe off sum gay 1.5lt engine? get extra power) and maybe even the same ecu that u got the injecters from.. the only thing that i see that maybe a bit challenging is cutting holes, and welding in dies in the manifold for the injecters to go into.(like placement of injecters on the manifold??) there are also little things such as fuel pumps, lines, filters etc etc but I'm sure, if it were a DIY job that most could be re-used or scraped off old cars(get most of it from a wrecker) if i can get my mate to help me weld up the manifold, and i do a bit of calculating, i WILL do this as a project. don't worry, i will document it with lots of photos! love to hear what u all think.. Cheerz Carl :D

hmmm righto then.. i went to some site a while back and they had 113 or 114 reground cams?? but i wouldnt go overboard with a regrind, only mid kinda job.. well i can easliy say that the stock muffler is prob restricting flow, so i can get a cannon or sumthing. what are the prices of extractors? what are some good brands that sell descent ones? i have connections with longlast exhaust on king georgers road (nsw) they do exhaust stuff, which i don't know 100% of what they do, but would they make up sum extarctors out of mild steel for me? like do exhaust shops build extracotrs? thanks carl :D

thanks for the replies guys.. this may sound stupid and all but what size (ltr) are 3k's 5ks etc etc?? will they fit straight in. is it a basic swap with a 4k, can i use same g/box etc etc..? and does the 5k or 3k have more potential over 4k? and where can i get these? i thought about turboing it, keeping boost very very low.. but it would mean i would have to re-tune the car since its carby. like i can get a turbo easy, and then i could prob modify the stock exhaust manifold for the turbo flange. then all i would need is like oil cooler and catch can, dump pipe and ppaaacshhhhhhh blow off vavle. but what about supercharging? say use a blower off a 4agze? how could i mount this? and how would it al connect up? i don't know much about supercharging so ill need all ur help. what does the value of shaving a hed do? does that then raise compression equaling in more power? what is jetting a carby do? does it cost alot? i suppose i can start with sum sort of carby, electric fuel pump(but i don't see what i connect it up to, since the car dusnt have ecu and shit), and reground cam, pod etc etc maybe a cannon, give it a bit of noise heh cheerz Carl :D

ahhh gimme gimme i want the kit!! can i ask why toyota in the first place slanted their engine? i mean if they then sold a kit to sit it upright to make more power y didnt they just put it right in the first place? also, how does this achieve more power? and would u have to modify other mounts such as gearbox etc? wanna know prices to hehe cheerz Carl :D
-
hey everybody. i would like more power in my KE70 and i would wish to make about 100kw. i don't plan to swap the engine to 4age or anything if it costs too much but i would be happy even if i get round the 80-90 kw mark also. what i need to know is, what are some easy, farly cheap modificatins that can be done, such as reground cam, porting or anything like that, to achieve my goal, or get me closer to it. any suggestions would be great! also what is an ideal exhaust system? atm I'm running a mild steel press bent (prob less than 2 inch) exhaust and it has a hotdog (performance cat) about half way, and then the normal muffler on the end. now i wouldnt mind having a cannon but is that too rice for u guys? and i don't think i would go stainless steel as its a bit of a waste at this point in time, but deffinetly mandrel bent. hope u can all help out, i gotta beat a :kiwi: EG VTEC civic, heh :D cheerz Carl :y:

yummy, fair enough then, it still looks hell of alot better than stock carby. i might give it a go next holidays then, along with a reground cam! yew! cheerz carl :D

To Anyone Wanting To Put An Lsd Into Their Corolla
KE70MAN replied to demuire's topic in General Mechanical
if i wanted to drift in my KE70 (i know it wil need wayyy more power and all) would i need to have a LSD? is there no possible way of getting both wheels to spin simoutanously? and if i were to weld my diff up, what does that do? like i know both wheels get more power to the ground and all, but does is affect steering that bad? also how can a coppa really tell that one has been welded up? i don't know much bout ratios and diffs and stuff but this is an interesting topic.. cheerz Carl :D -
what do u mean by uprighting? can't really help u with that. did u hear that as a term? cheerz Carl :D
-
ooo just realised also, if the carby has auto choke, this eliminates a choke on a normal ke70 right?? saawwweeettt! Carl
-
firstly, great explantion and use of pictures-ATTENTION ADMIN!! MAKE THIS A STICKY! secondly, i knew i read somewhere that this can be done. what was the cost of the carby? have u noticed any extra power figures? is fuel consumption fairly the same? also i was looking at the other photos and noticed a soft drink can(DIY oil catch can?? luv it!!) great work, keep it up cheerz Carl :P
-
ohh k thanks grimmy.. ill let u know when i ahve money for this..\ cheerz carl
-
NSW, oh k well, would u know any place that i can start to look for these? wernt they on sum van in japan or sumthing?? thought i could import one from there.. thanks Carl :P
-
hey everyone, yes (like the title explains) i know this has prob been asked and you will all say use the search button etc etc, and well i did but didnt find much.. i am chasing the efi unit, like manifold ecu wiring etc etc to convert my 4k-c into a 4k-e.. i would also like to ask a few questions about this, such as, will i need engineers cert? would i need to make any other modifications, and also and most important one.. where can i find one? and what price am i looking at to pay for one of these? thanks guys.. cheerz Carl :P
-
hehe thats the spirit!! yeh its still funny, can we change the name of this post to like own3d and pwn3d fotos.. i love this kinda stuff.. cheerz :P Carl
