-
hey guess what!! no one has explained to me what each one means :) but what costs better, has better performance etc etc.. thanks
-
oh thanks banjo, that was the info i was looking for. what did u type in search in ebay? will 3k-4k-5k clutches all be the same? assuming that its the 4 speed g/b? thanks mmmmmm yummy asbestos... cough cough ahhh spew-die.. hehe :)

hey wats the difference with 4-2-1 and 4-1 extractors? cheers
-
oh k, wats the cost of a clutch aligning tool? wats it look like and what does it do to align the clutch. if u guys are using garden hose pieces and old gear shifters, mayeb i can use something similar. cheers

no like i just wanted everyones opinnion on what they thought about runing the pipe over or under the axel.. it has been done under the axel.. i just want to know whats more ethical? cheers
-
hey guys, wanna build a bit of an exhaust, but don't have access to bender. do u think it wil be ok if i ran the piping from the resonator (half way) straight to the back to the muffler, like without going over the axel? or is that a bad idea? cheers
-
oh ok. that shuld be ok. wont i need to get the car jacked up quite high so i can get under it? or shuld some wheel stands do? where abouts can i get a clutch/clutch kit which will suit the ke70? (4 speed) is it a tough job replacing or shuld it be simple? i have to basically remove the G/B to don't i? cheers

hey guys, my clutch in my ke70 is slipping again. it is only the cable operated one, so there is no chance of hydraulic oil getting in onto the pressure pate or anything (as my trusty haynes manual explains). i adjusted the circlip in the engine bay and it was a good 4-5 grooves loose, but since then i can really really notice that the car revs are high, but the car is nuggeting along. another sign that its getting worse is that i use to be able to, when wet, give more revs and dump clutch a bit quicker and get light wheelspin. i don't really do many burnouts and crap, but g/b was changed prob a yr ago now, don't u think that the mechanic wuld have sed 'yeh clutch is going'? anyway. what should i do about this problem, is there any way of a quick fix? also wats it cost for a new clutch if this one is gone? i need to find like hard evidence that the clutch is screwed cus i don't want to have to buy another one and the car is the same and the problem is a cable or something. also is it hard to change myself? cheers

hey guys um drifting is NOT quicker than normal driving through a corner, although... drifting was used in japanese mountain events where people like Keiichi Tsuchiya (a.k.a drift king) tried out different manouvers to try and get through corners at a higher speed, because they had under-powered cars and it was difficult. its a fact that this benifited him, as he was the only driver to use this corner treatment. here is the history of what he achieved 1977 Debut in Fuji Freshman series. 1977-1984 Ran selected entries in All Japan Touring Car championship. 1984 Fuji Freshman series race (Toyota AE86)= 6 wins 1985 All Japan Touring Car championship (Toyota AE86) 1st in Class 3 1986 Corolla Sprinter Cup-2 podium places 1987 All Japan Touring Car championship (Honda Civic)-1 win 1988 Toyota Cup-1st overall     All Japan Touring Car championship (BMW M30)-3rd in Class 2     Macau Guia race (BMW M3)-4th overall 1989 All Japan F3 championship     All Japan Touring Car championship (Ford Sierra Cosworth)-1 win 1990 All Japan Touring Car championship (Ford Sierra Cosworth)     Macau Guia race (Ford Sierra Cosworth)     New Zealand Touring Car series (Toyota) 1991 All Japan F3 championship (Ralt-Mugen)-10th overall     All Japan Touring Car championship (Nissan Skyline GT-R)-5th overall 1992 All Japan Touring Car championship (Nissan Skyline GT-R) 1993 All Japan Touring Car championship (Taisan Nissan Skyline GT-R)-1 win     Japan Endurance series (Honda Prelude)-2nd Tsukuba 12 Hours 1994 All Japan GT championship (Porsche 911T)-1 win     All Japan Touring Car championship (Honda Civic)     Suzuka 1000kms (Porsche 911T)-1st in class, 2nd overall     Le Mans 24 Hours (Honda NSX)-18th overall 1995 All Japan GT championship (Porsche911TRSR)     All Japan Touring Car championship (Honda Civic)     Suzuka 1000kms (Honda NSX)-5th overall     Tokachi 12 Hours (Honda NSX)-1st overall     Le Mans 24 Hours (Honda NSX)-1st in class 1996 All Japan GT championship (Honda NSX)-13th overall     Entered NASCAR Thunder Special race at Suzuka     Le mans 24 Hours (Honda NSX)-3rd in class 1997 All Japan GT championship (Porsche 911/Dodge Viper)     Fuji InterTec race (Toyota Chaser)     Suzuka 1000kms (Lark McLaren F1 GTR)-9th overall     Entered NASCAR Thunder Special race at Suzuka     Le Mans 24 Hours (Lark McLaren F1 GTR)-qualified 10th, retired from race 1998 All Japan Touring Car championship (Toyota Chaser)-7th overall     All Japan GT championship (Toyota Supra)-8th overall     Le Mans 24 Hours (Toyota GT-One)-9th overall      NASCAR at the California Speedway. 1999 Japan Touring Car Championship(Advan Altezza Touring car). 2000-2001 he joined team ARTA racing a NSX once again in the All Japan GT championship. on tar, drifting is not always the fastest option, as u can see with V8's and other car races. and on dirt drifting is used for almost every corner, because if they slow down too much for a corner and then accelerate out, all they get is wheelspin and therefore: no traction= they go nowhere.. they use this drift technique to keep high rpm and speed so that they can get back up to their suited speed. Carl.

hahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahah definetly the drug test dude!! great find btw!! Carl

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm hehe its sik!! potential!! Carl :)

ok, getting off topic here... anyways, so its easy to chop the bonnet for a scoop? does anyone have any fotos of how it is done or any jobs? Carl
-
bonnet scoop would look good i suppose. but cutting a hole in my bonnet hmmm how is it done? and then how is the scoop attached to the bonnect itself? maybe if i cut a hole, the just have grill mesh over the hole? do i have to weld up like the 2 seams of the bonnect and then probably put a rust inhibitor over it, then re-paint? it sounds easy but it may be tricky.. Carl :D

if i were u, i wuld just run it to behind the headlight. u can always move it if u want but if u decide to go to the drags or a skidpan, u can remove ur headlight and there u have it, a pod sitting in direct airflow. what i am finding hard is how to connect the pipe around the carby?? i was thinking of crimping the pipe to form more of an oval, then weld up one end, cut a hole for the carb to sit and sumhow attach it. or even if it was a flat/square piece, connecting to the carby, which then connected to a round piece-then the pod.. as for the exhaust manifold, could either make a custom heat shield, and or wrap it in that heat wrap stuff.. it wil have so much better airflow than original. and hopefully we could hear...the wirring noise during acceleration..yew! Carl :D
-
anyone ever thougt about a pod air-filter onto a 4k-c? like it would need some sort of fabrication to the pipe that connect around the carby(cus of bonnet and it being down draught carby) then just run the pipe down near the ground or behind headlight to a fat pod and wallaa! what u think? Carl :D
