  2. You need to get the commo diff measured and the result posted here. Then ,and only then ,someone who has a ke25 diff , or the knowledge of how wide it is , has the possability of helping you. :P
  3. Add some petrol and I`m good to go. If I was looking for luxury or racing abilitys I would have looked elsewhere. :)

  10. Hello all. I`m looking for a 5speed box to fit in my k-engined ke35. I have never seen or heard of a k50 in Norway so looking for options. Was at the scrapyard today and found a 82 mod. km20 with a 4k in it. It had a 4speed ,wire clutch , bolt on bellhousing, side-lever activated gearbox. Question : is this bellhousing of any use to me ? what gear box were these cars fitted with ? It had a 4stud big diff that i belive is a e-type. About 40mm wider then my u type. Could not find ID. plate of car. don't know where it is supposed to be either. All help appreciated. Thanks for great forum that has already given me plenty of useful info. Anybody interested in exporting a good k50 ?

  14. Drum brakes are supposed to be selfadjusting yes but like everything else , they need servicing -cleaning . One of the great joys of owning an old car. :jamie: If your brake pedal did not become lower when you started the car , then your booster would not be working. Try this on any car: press the brake pedal while starting the car. You will feel the pedal going inn as the engine starts.
  15. Rear brakes probably needs adjusting as has been mentioned. Easy quick check method: pull upp handbrake until it almost starts braking. Now try brake pedal while driving. If it has improved , you have found your fault. :jamie:
