Driveshaft yokes may have opened upp from previous abuse. Like youre saying, straight line is better. Put an angle on blocks or find a better way of lowering ?

+ what car its in + what wheels are on it + what surface you drive on + if its properly set upp + wear and tear + how the car is set upp + does it have lsd + is it locked + what oil youre using +++

First youll need to figure out what you got, early or late vertion. There wasa change sometime in 76-77 :wink:

ballast resistor is normaly bypassed while cranking to give coil full voltage when starting (compansates for the voltage drop you get while cranking ) and reduced voltage when running to spare the points. If it started smoking while cranking somethings wrong

can't compare these to the 405 mi16 . Had one of those as well... 8/

Just read this , sorry to hear about engine. Something else worth mentioning about arp studs in 16v 4ag, might be common knowledge tho.. arps are slightly longer. Have seen 3 cases on different forums that dizzy collides with arp stud causing bent dizzy shaft. Didnt exactly help that head was shaved + thin headgasket. 2 of these engines were tried started. Result was broken camshaft + cam gearwheel as well.

No racecar but far from slow. Got 300Nm from 1800rpm on, so hardly ever downshift for making passes. Theres two vertions tho, 90 and 110hp. Mine was 110 before chipping. 1500km on a on a tank easily if on highway Corolla related photo

I got a 01 406 as well :yes:. bought it new . chipped it + a green cotton air filter after a year(hdi) so now its about 136 hp 300Nm. Great milage and good ride comfort in all conditions. Mrs. uses it as daily but definatly our prefered car for long trips. No plans of trading that one in . No nasty suprises yet, just normal maintenance. Like the look of the coupe but need the wagon :wink:

close enough but according to 5k manual its w/o filter 3L Drain and refil w/ filter 3.4L Dry refil w/ filter 3.6 L

Got one in my ke35. Was a upgrade there as they came with 19mm bar and rubber bushes stock . Would be softer than a 21mm ke55 bar tho..

Have heard of minipeople using K rockers for a cheap 1.5 ratio mod. but didnt know how related they were . Cheers

Yes same height block but 5Ks have larger diameter lifters so can't use 4K lifters

Thank you. Belive thats same as in the faq. Is that all there is? Was hoping for something a bit more decifered like whats VC, VTA, PIM, IGT ,IGF , NE , #10 and so on. Any idea if these ECUs have start block with coded key? Cheers
