  1. Try this guy. He`s parting out his te38 in U.S http://www.3tcgarage.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=11652
  2. possably due to pistons beeing oversized ? More dish added to compensate for added cylindervolume keeping comp ratio same? Just a thought..
  3. 2tc are hemis so will need a bit of measuring / calculating of piston displacement as well , for the compression ratio equation. Might want to measure the stroke as well as some 2tc are moded with 3tc crank/rod/piston
  4. they had the B series jap 5.7" diffheads. U-series 6" jap diffheads will fit in housing and on axelsplines tho. They came in late kp61 (3.4/3.5), late ke2, ke3 and ke7s. also AL25? More ratios available than the B-series. Australia however had borg warner diffs in later KEs, don't know from exactly when.
  5. lots to choose from $10-40 http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
  6. Since youre asking for opinions : I like KE 1#s way better when theyre K-powered than anyting else and tend to loose interest when they have a non Toyota driveline but its your car, your desition
  7. Ive always thought they were vulcanized for anti vibration .Not sure tho. Belive Ive read about guttet ones. don't remember where , how or why If you manage to seperate and clean, 2 component resin rubber could be poured back in
  8. ta22 t50 shifters(forward position) are different to the newer rear position t50 shifters
  9. Might find some takers on 3tcgarage  if not, tailhousing, shiftershafts and shifter could be worth a few bucks for someone modding shifterposition of a newer T series gearbox. Doesnt weigh much either.
  10. Could run into some RHD / LHD issues tho
  11. A few things to try: try bypassing ignition switch check wire going to points closely that its not beeing grounded anywhere, also inside dizzy. Disconnect Taco from coilcircuit-
  12. useless to most.. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/19198-trd-3k-4k-cam/
  13. Seems more people are trying to get paid for the "potential" of the cars Restoration projects beeing advertised at good condition prices. Putting pictures of perfect cars in their adds to show how it might become, not mentioning the cost, time & labor to restore them I use rockauto, ebay and forums for parts. Mostly foreign ones as domestic have very limited availability for old rolla parts Spend way too much time browsing  but enjoy seeing how you get on with your projects
  14. Theres always way more rust to be found when you start digging. I woulnt bid on a car with clear signs of rust without a thorough inspection, unless it was for parts Wouldnt be too worried about mechanical /electrical stuff. Most is easily fixable on these cars Id ask about the gearbox tho as many 5speed boxes seem to be noisy / worn
  15. Have heard talk of "long neck dizzys " for 2t twin sidedraft manifolds . don't know what theyre off but try google, maybe on 3tc garage. Some twin sidedraft manifolds are offset (runners at an angle) to avoid this issue
  16. since you`re getting it shortened anyway why not cut rear part with uni off T shaft and get it welded onto a cut down ke55 shaft ?
  17. Tried direct approach ? http://www.indiacatalog.com/gwd/redirect.php?id=1407
  18. :lolcry: seemed like the perfect title for A : a childrens show or B : a B-rated porn Glad to see it was neither :y:
  19. + might not be room for the 3kb stuff in your starlet as its LHD Try to get a gasket kit for your carb and clean it
  20. there`s a couple of different sandwitch plate thickneses. You could have the wrong one
  21. also worth noting : different port shapes
  22. aux air valve (idle air control valve) looks like one of the ports is broken ? Gives you faster idle when engine is cold
  23. check fiering order ?
  24. If your ke70 is imported it will have a U -code diff. LSDs exsist but are rare
  25. Sounds heavy but strong... I went from 3.583 & k40 to 4.1 & k50 in my kp61. It put some life back to the tired 4k. Milage is fine as well. W58 will need a coustom driveshaft. - not cheap for a decent one. neither is narrowing a hilux axel If you found a ta22 t50 you could use your current driveshaft and gearbox x.member .Needs k-t bell tho. (can be bought for us$ 200 from malaisia inc. freight) Diff from same car (6.7") is right width for a ke3 A bit longer nose on them tho so will need driveshaft mod. Just a few more options
