  1. You set your expectations too high.
  2. Nope. Spacer will make it worse. 8" is too big anyway. Aim for 7" with some decent 195 wide rubber.
  3. 15x8 0 will stick out 25mm more than the green car above (Assuming that is 15x8 +25), which i reckon will hit.....everything.
  4. Nicely done. For what its worth my bmw trigger wheel has its missing teeth 82deg btdc so 78 will work perfect!
  5. Plenty of places for water to go on that tyre. Should be a nice compromise for what you need it for. I recently got the cheapest Nankangs I could get for my daily drive subau impreza. And its amazing how much grip "normal" tyres have these days. Especially in the wet. Admitedly the tyres I pulled off both the e30 and subaru were very old and completely buggered. So its an unfair comparison I suppose:p
  6. Interesting to see what you think of those maxis. I bit the bullet and got some re003 for my e30 last week (as they about the only decent tyre that comes in 205 55 r15). Very impressed so far, but I hear they don't last very long. Luckily it's not a daily drive (and these days I don't drive anywhere....)
  7. Looks pretty neat. what sensor do they use? Basically the same as what is on my bmw m20, except mine has 60 tooth (with 2 missing. I would try and use an OEM sensor of some kind. VR seems to be the most common and easiest to run, but hall effect is an option as well (needs power i think, ive no experience with hall effect)
  8. My k motor ran for some time with hardly any oil. I'm not convinced it needs oil.
  9. Is it tripping on over current or earthleakage? (Safety switch)
  10. yer i saw that popup the other day. They have a couple of other cool projects on their website. Great program.
  11. bit american...but this is cool.
  12. This may interest some of you, part 1 and 2 is out. I quite like this guys other videos.
  13. Its probably been done, What info do you want? -Make sure the sump fits around the ke70 cross member. if it does, drop it in and make the following: - engine mounts - gearbox mount - custom 1 piece tailshaft to an LSD diff. - Efi fuel system -Either fit the mazda radiator,. or find one about the same size that fits with the pipes on the right side. -Find mazda wiring diagram and figure out how to wire it up in ke70. skids! (after you fit an LSD diff, good brakes and good suspension) Cheaper and arguable alot better to just buy an mx5 😉
  14. This is great. I've almost got my workshop setup to start my own attempt at some of these types of activites. More dumb questions from the penut gallery. Are you Tig welding the roll cage? or is the majority of it mig welded?
  15. Nice update. Enjoying The pics. What sort of rod ends do you buy? Are they imperial or metric?
  16. oh man. that's amazing. Maybe its the "Trumpet" style exhaust and apparent lack of flywheel (?) but they sound mean as.
  17. konig rewind i think? cool as wheels
  18. haha yer that guys concrete looks as bad as my concreteing job. but mine was for a garden shed, not a garage! Actually his looks way worse. i have previuosly used those pinching ones on a supra. which would be heavier than a corolla. i suppose even if the car is 1600kg, its only 400kg per corner. 100kg per wheel. nothing too extreme.
  19. Interesting conundrum. I've never ever put a clutch in a fwd (thank goodness). so I've never come across it. I wonder if the input shaft is a lot shorter on a fwd so it doesn't need to be supported at the flywheel end? looks pretty short.
  20. ive been following you on the faceballs as well. some nice stuff. I'm going to ask a dumb question, how do you get the reinforcement ridges into the steel sheet? some kind of roll/press?
  21. not a bad workspace! love the old rollaclub sticker:)
  22. rattle rattle rattle. once i got sick of that I put an intank pump in my ke70 tank as a lift pump, there is a how to around somewhere...better off doing that with a suitable low pressure carby pump. which i dunno if exists, but it probably does somewhere. but whats wrong with the mechanical pump? I'm all about modifying but a new mech pump should last you another 30yrs if you don't intend on needing more fuel than it needs.
  23. on what?
  24. Hi, have you done any of your own research?
  25. Well i can tell you this much. I'm sick of sitting at home. This is the third week of working from home. I think i've left the house twice in that time. Internet is too damn slow, my work laptop has 3 VPN layers to to anything so it exaggerates the issue. And really its only the beginning of this shamozzle. e30 might even get de-registered as its unlikely to leave the garage before....christmas?
