Hey guys, car noob here. Had my baby for 7 years car wobbles like crazy between 40-70km gets better the faster I go or jerk the steering wheel around. Probably just needs bushes done but looking to refresh all my front suspension and steering, any suggestion on good kits or parts ? Seen stuff on eBay don’t know if I trust it etc. thanks for the help

I changed my brushes on alternator not long ago and was charging fine. Drove back from work today and the charge light come on and the battery's drained, do I need a new alt ? As I haven't touch the old wiring at all. The engine was losing revs and power as I was driving it to

Hey banjo I got told about the rubber washer last night from an uber driver haha, tried it this afternoon and she runs beautiful. Something so simple! Thank you so much for your help and time! Will be contacting you soon

I was talking to an uber driver last night he said there should be a rubber or thick washer between the positive terminal and alt so I'm gonna try put it back like that and see if something happens other wise I'll have a look and see what wires I can find

From that sketch, there's no third wire connecting from the engine block to the alt from a glance, but it didn't have a connection before either could it be earthed somewhere else? I'll have to have a real good look, do you recommend I see an auto sparky?

I replaced the brushes and reg all went well then connected everything all together as soon as we put the negative on the battery one of the wires started smoking from the positive side, I chased the wire and it was the positive wire connecting to the alt, does that mean my alt is shorting? Or the brushes aren't in right causing it to arch?

My old regulator is located directly behind the right front light, so it's wired around and under the engine to the alt will take pictures and show you when I grab the new reg

Since the new alt is pretty much the same, does that mean I don't have to wire it up again? Just get a new reg with a 3 terminal plug and I'm set? What happens to the old 2 terminal socket? Still a bit confused haha

I'm buying a new external regulator tomorrow a RE55 to replace the old one I suspect water damage, get all the pictures I sent?

ought new battery after last new battery died after 2 weeks of being connected only drove a little bit each week, new battery won't charge at all on old alternator so I bought a new and it had 3 terminals when the plug has 2. Either I rebuild the old one, see if it works or ʞ©$ɟ around with the new one. Can the voltage regulator if faulty, stop the alternator from charging? A lot of questions I know! I'm new to this please help
