Yew my old car! She's got around thats for sure yeah the original plates were mad, one of the numbers on the back was slowly falling off when I owned it two years ago. Got pulled over just in a breatho, the cop thought it was cool that after all those years it still had the original plates hahaha Your plans sound great, its good to see that something is finally happening with this car. Thing with Shannons is that they will not insure your car unless you are over 21? years old. Tried insuring with them before and you need X-amount of years driving experience to be covered. Damn shame that the car is written off, I'm shattered to say the least, so I can't even imagine how you feel If you do strip I will be keen for seats, door trims and rear quarter trims + maybe the hubbies and trim rings. Don't me wrong, a very well set-up KE70, AE71 or AE86 would be great (especially with 25g thrown at it haha) but at the end of the day a S13, S14, or S15 is going to be better in the long run. Personally if I was you and wanted to drift with a Corolla, I'd spend 10g building a Ke70 or Ae71, it will be a great drift car for your money, be good to learn in, and save the rest of your money for maintenance and repairs, parts are fair cheap too. I'm just having a pick haha but ye there arent actually that many KE20's in this good original condition. I would know haven been looking for one for over a year now. I do agree though if you can start with a base like this, why not? Saves you from doing exterior work, interior work etc Will be an awesome sleeper, as mentioned though you will need to upgrade to 13s Cheers, Ben.

Hahah I wouldn't have wanted it back :) It was really good when I had it, pretty good original bamboo paint, not that much rust, pretty good interior except base of drivers seat and top of rear seat. the 3K in that car was strong as, was always planning on converting to manual. The exhaust on that car was sik, was made by a good mate of Nickyboys. It was near impossible to talk while driving haha, at one stage I actually had the rear half of the exhaust off so I could get it welded on properly, that was really fun :y: sounded so tuff for a stock 3K and popped flames too Cheers, Ben. btw thats what it used to look like in my avatar

Noooo!!!!! Seen this on ebay, its a really good example of an original KE20, way too good to ruin with a 4age Should leave as is, and find another KE20 to chuck that engine in. engine plans sound good anyway! just not in that car :) Cheers, Ben.

Hmm no need for a 2.25 inch exhaust on a 4K, just go 2 inch which is what I had on my old SIK020, went great and sounded really good, just with a single muffler at the rear. Give Everlast a try at Ridgehaven, down from mine, they do pretty good work and are pretty cheap. I'm actually starting an apprenticeship in motor trimming next year :) Cheers, Ben.
