Good news, love that feeling when it finally works!
-
Good going, may want to look at the fuel pump eventually. Hopefully you've diagnosed the problem!

I thought that even though bike carbs are great (I want to do it myself) Webers are still the go to carbs? the bike carbs are harder to get that perfect tune, also as he's running 2 they should be more than enough for higher RPMs. I could be wrong though.

One of the best ke20s I've seen tbh
-
Yea, seeing as it's the original pump it's probably pretty tired. The Fuelmiser ones are pretty good, I've got one. No problems yet http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FPM-044B-Fuelmiser-Mechanical-Fuel-Pump-Toyota-Corolla-3K-4K-5K-KE-Series-/281288797503?hash=item417e1e6d3f:g:U6oAAOSwo4pYI7bv

Ahh fair enough, thought I saw it on Gumtree a little while back.
-
Perhaps a silly question, but what ignition wire did you run it from? I've already got my headunit and amp running from the ignition wire of the stock radio, cheers.

Did you by any chance buy this car from Alexandria?
-
Does it fully crank? or is it a weaker crank. It could even be possibly the starter motor not giving enough juice
-
Bypassing the resister isn't a good idea if it's fully stock, could fry the dizzy and all sorts. Also, as silly as this sounds check your fuses, esp your "engine" it happened to me and sadly took about 4 months to realize it was that. Anyways good luck!

Anyone Have A Vacuum Gauge In Their Dash?
SloRolla replied to rebuilder86's topic in General Mechanical
Can't you just get another gauge from eBay? They're like 20 bucks -
Haha love the badge, any future plans?

How does she go? Looks really good!

Would this work with starlet engine but corolla box? (looking at the GT engine ofc)
-
The stock air box I mean that hole haha, but yeah I dunno I'm so done
-
So I put some gasket goo on the plate and still nothing, I can completely cover the air intake hole on the filter and runs without a single hiccup (revs quite high though) Getting so done with this lmao

I reckon mx5 engines are a great idea! Cheap enough and easy to turbo.

http://www.toymods.org.au/forums/threads/25025-1nzfe-ke70/page1 May have already seen this, and it's about a ke70. I had a quick flick through and they had some good points.

Yeah I'll give that a go, pretty sure they're -5 offset (they don't have the tag) and they sit very well with the current standard struts and springs.

This thread is pretty old I know, but some of the members are still active so I'll give it a go :) I've got 14x6 wheels, and I'm also looking at the 50mm front springs because I'm too poor for coils atm. I was just wondering will the 14s fit well under the lowered springs? Or will I need to roll the guards etc, or should I just go with the 38mm lowered springs instead.

Checked the dizzy is working and leads and stuff? could have like a lumpy voltage

Hahah yeah hope so. Thanks for the info!

I don't think it's inside the carby, seems to be the plastic plate thingy. I'll have a look later and see what I can find
-
That's exactly what i've got. At the start it had a really bad leak between the carby and plastic plate thingy, put the gasket in and seemed to help a little. The mechanic said I shouldn't need a gasket there either. the plastic may have a scoring or something. I'll put some gasket goo sealant stuff on it and see how she goes
