  1. what about the front? Or is there someone who makes shorter shock absorbers for KE70's, I'm not a fan of mix and matching stuff from other cars And is there anyone in victoria who will sell a set of lowered shocks Also has anyone used these springs, I'd like to know from them what they did (The car is a daily hence why coilovers would be a bit pointless) http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/TOYOTA-COROLLA-AE-70-KE-70-F-R-LOW-30mm-LOWERED-COIL-KING-SPRINGS/160763827014?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D39923%26meid%3Dfc8b6d8e70db413bbc769f221b4a1a45%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D3%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D151841916037 Or King Spirngs PART NUMBERS FRONT:- KFRL-16 REAR:- KTRL-34
  2. Thanks guys, hopefully this will help others too
  3. I'd like to lower my KE70 corolla by 30mm, by fitting a full set of king springs My only question is, if i'm lowering the car by 30mm, Do I need shorter shocks or are the stock ones fine (Plan to change the shocks as the same time as the springs, so if shorter shocks are required I'll have time to find them)
  4. I'm wanting to swap my k40 box to a k50 box I've asked a few times if anything needs to be swapped I know it is basically a straight swap, But I keep running into the same problem Some say you need to put in the shifter from the k50 box, others say that the k40 shifter is fine in a k50 box etc. and most forums always end up with the discussion of shifter position betweeen KE20-30's (Forward), KE30-55's (Middle) and KE70 (Rearwards) All I want is a clear answer, For this swap Do I have to change the shifter or are both interchangeable with one another Also if the answer is that I have to put the K50 shifter with the K50 box, Please Give me and explanation why the two shifters are not interchangeable I will in anycase put the k50 box with the K50 shifter since it came with it, But for future reference, and to clear any confusions for anyone (myself included) Also I plan to find a short throw shifter for mine (because as many would know, the throw is long) Does anyone know who, or where to get one from (preferably brand new)
  5. Thanks guys btw Taz, for curiosity sake, how come the shifters aren't interchangeable, (or better question is where are the differences between the two diagram would be perfect)
  6. Hey all I need some help to put in a 5-speed box for my ke70 corolla I have the box and shifter and tail-shaft, But I wanted to ask (since mine stock is 4-speed) Is there any changes I need to make (e.g. with both shifters work or must use the one that came with the 5 speed box) or is it just, drop the old, bolt in new...ish..eh I also wanted to ask, are there any benefits of getting my distributor recurved, (so far there is a full 2 inch exhaust with extractors and 1 hotdog and the stock 'air box' had been changed to an exposed filter, forgot how to describe) Plan to put tighe 104 soon with 2x 40 DCOE webers Speaking of, anyone know where I can get the cam done, near Dandenong (I'd prefer a place where I can drop the car off for a few days and everything is done there, Since I'm very busy, going to be working everyday from 19th December till, so far, 28th January including Christmas day and eve, New years day and eve) I know that I will need new valve springs, so I would also like suggested place to deal with all other details to putting in the new cam/regrind also some headwork wouldn't hurt (Port and Polish, and port matching) Also, would anyone happen to know a nice looking steering wheel to put in (obviously I will get a BOSS kit of needed, just looking for some suggesting, pics would be cool too Well, everyone enjoy the Christmas Season, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, Cheers all
  7. Hey All, I was wanting to know a few things for my KE70 Corolla How much offset is needed to fit 15x6 rims (Wanting to put Performance Superlites) So that the Wheelbase Is the same as the car was on stock wheels , (or whichever the correct term is) where the distance from the center of each tyre to the other I.e The distance from the center of the front driver side tyre to the center of the passenger side tyre, Also Does anyone know where I can get a set of weatherstrips (the ones between door and glass), They are starting to show their age (mild warping), and since I want to keep the car looking clean. And If anyone knows where I can get them relatively locally (I live in Noble Park VIC, Near Dandenong) I'd also like to get them with a full set of clips for them. At the same time, also a set of door and boot seals...Also the chrome trim above the doors (The car had roof racks when I got it and the trim is damage because of that. And now for some suspension questions If I fit the wheels stated above (with 195/50 R15 tyres) how far can I lower the car (just want to lower it about 1 inch or so) and again does anyone know any local suppliers, and also a strut brace (To compliment existing and future mods) Thanks All, I Appreciate any help given I've been wanting to do some mods ever since I completely repaired and repainted the car (Christmas Day 2012) but have since been stuck working and studying
  8. I've done some calculations 15x6 (+12) offset should fit, But Does anyone run this, Since I want to know how it would look The rims are Performance Superlite 15x6 rims
  9. Hey All, I'm Planning on buying myself a new set of rims for my KE70 Corolla The wheels I have in mind are Performance Superlite Gloss Black/Machined (Chrome) Lip I want to fit 14x6 OR 15x6 (Both sizes are available) But I want to know how much offset is required (Since they offer to make the rims to requested offset Between +3 and +25) I know these wheels are small in comparision to what other guys are running (usually 15x7 or 15x8, most common so far), But this is my daily, Also I don't want to do any changes to the guards (otherwise I'd probably ruin the paint I put on it christmas day 2012), Also I don't want it to stick out of the guards, and I'll Admit (Please don't hate me for this) I'm really not a fan of Streched tyres (If I calculated correctly If I get 15" I'd use 195/50R15 and If 14" I'd use 185/60R14) So back to the Question at hand (how much offset do I request for) I want it to be a straight clean fit and not stick out or need to modify guards, And obviously so that it won't strike or scrub on anything when full lock, etc.
  10. Thanks guys Heads Have been ported but not shaved, and will need to get the port matched to the new manifold, btw anyone know where I can get a suitable manifold (That was my other concern) Will it be necessary to get the head shaved, I though it only necessary if I have a cam grind of 280 deg or higher which then i'd need at least 10.5:1 compression And 5KKid, I'd would be gracious if you can find the jetting size for your 5k, I'm just guessing I'd need a size or so smaller than what you currently have Another question is that can the stock fuel pump be sufficient or need to upgrade that at the same time (Since If I can i would upgrade it at the same time) This is the carbies i'm going for http://www.weberperformance.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=1_9&products_id=2&osCsid=ln1fjtm1s9h4sm6cltd9qmri26 If there are any specs I should request like 30mm venturis, Please let me know Cheers all

  12. Hi all, Been planning this upgrade for my 83 KE70 (4k-c) for some time I plan to replace the stock intake system, for twin weber carbies But Since I want a twin setup, I was unsure weather to go with 2x 40 DCOE (weber 151), or 2x 45 DCOE (weber 152G) Currently have Tighe 104 (270 deg) And Full custom exhaust (2 inch from extractors back, 2 inch resonator (14 inch length body) (sounds great) The car is my daily, so I want it to be liveable
