fitted a crow cams xr 700 points to electric conversion tonight, seems to be great, hauls ass, needs more fuel tho

its going a little better, going to buy a crane elec dizzy conversion this week and a coil to suit, been driving it, too noisy tho, goes well under load but wont rev past 4k

ok, brought a spark tester, I'm getting a max of 22-000 volts on idle, still coughing but no excessive bangs, more like a fuel suge?

i wouldnt put kyb on the same level at monroe, gabriel, pedders ect, i have some and there not faultable, was going to go bilsteins but figure ill just go with whats commenly used for a cheap price, st185 kyb exell g

yeah the crane one was what the parts store had, the guy that was going to tune it recomended the msd, but ild rather a crow sticker :y: $280? from memory maybe cheaper, then ill get a decent coil aswell. does anyone think that an extra earth strap would help?

yeah thats what every one says, but imo its just masking the issue, i just need to get the ignition system running as good as it should with the points, if that fails me then elec is the way

ok guys, took my car to the mechanics and there diognostic was that the boost is blowing the spark out, the spark was around 10-000 volts where it needed to be around 30-000+, they recomended to go electronic distributor the thing is my old engine was running points and it ran fine, loved the boost, my boss (mechanic) told me that theres something wrong and it might not be getting enough power in, i have tryed new, plugs, points, dizzy'z, condensors, leads are fresh as are the rotor buttons and dizzy caps, i have mucked around with plug and point gap, no difference, also heaps of different timing. it runs better but still not great with the turbo pipe off, aka NA, but still not good-great. i just fitted a new coil and its made no difference, I'm going to test my voltage imput next, before and after the balast, the only other thing i can think of is a dirty earth? or not enough earth straps? think it has one or 2 atm? any help at all would be great as its really starting to annoy me if it helps iths a 2tc with a blow thru turbo system
