  1. Fixed my problem in the end i just decided to jimmy up a new heater tap, just went to repco and got a heater valve for some other car that was similar and just shoved some dishwasher tubing through the fire wall and joinded the two pipes nice cheep fix and shud never leak again. Thanks for your help guys
  2. I'm thinking i might just seal up the valve in its open position with some sort of silicon based sealant, then on the engine side of the firewall just wack some sort of tap or something so i can just turn it on in winter and off in summer. ill take the part out again and have a close inspection maby run some water through it at pressure to see exactly what my problem is, tho i have no doubt like mentioned earlier its that rubber ring or seal attached to the end of the plundger...it would be a bastard to get off tho. At least I'm not the only one....
  3. hey guys Was cleaning out my corolla the other day and i found my carpet was wet on the passengers side, so i looked up behind the console and the valve where, when you turn the heater on it lets coolant run through, was leaking. So i found a guy with another corolla and replaced the part that was leaking, a day later same problem. just wondering if any one has had the same problem and how they fixed it maby i had some bad luck and the part that i got of this guy was leaking too, tho his carpet was fine bahhh!!
  4. Sounds like a resonator is the go... the thing i thougth was a cat, just looks like a miniture version of the stock muffler so you guys a prolly right..(funny you say my cat does sleep on it... and does other things to it...) any idea on how loud it will be with just a resonator in place of the muffler? I'm guessing this will be cheeper than buying an actual muffler... ill make sure i do it after rego lol or ill make it bolt on/off so i can just bolt the stock or the resonator on depending on mood.. thanks for your help :)
  5. hey guys I got a ye old ke-30 as my first car, I'm pretty happy with most of it but its just lacking that sound that gets a teenagers hormones running. She has a fairly stock 4k engine with stock headders and what not its got a cat on it, the original tailpipe is 1.5" I'm just wondering what would sound the s**t off the back for as less cash as possible. I was thinking of gettin rid of the stocky and wackin a canon 3" outlet, tho it may look a bit..."I wish i was a lancer". The other option was just going for a normal sports muffler dual tip or single. Maby i cud just chop the muffler on and have a straight pipe lol. PS. i unbolted the exhaust from cat back...sounds great (nice burbble) suprisingly not too loud might be because of the cat. any tips would be great :)
  6. Hey guys New to the site thought id post up my corolla its pretty bland Go it for free off my grandma ;) , the engine is pretty much stock 1300cc i think its a 3K not much up on that ill have to read through the wiki faq, runs well though. Original paint job with some bit of rust around the backend in some kind of faided green ive never seen before. heres the stuff ive done -wacked some cheep hub caps on the wheels..looks ugly(hope to get some cheep rims from somewhere) -fixed up some of the rust on the inside -wacked some carpet on the dash and rear dash -bougth a cheep head unit and speakers (it still had original stock speakers and tape deck) -seat covers thats about all I'm pretty broke and its only to last like 1 year when I'm on my P's (got no job and on L's atm) Might do a little more to the engine maby replace exhaust bit later on to get some sound out of it. gonna get a tacho, steering wheel, gear knob prolly replace the carpet just to jazz it up a tad on the inside. feel free to comment/bag out p.s might be up for sale in a year or so, otherwise thinkin of keeping her and doing it up (when i get cash of course) here she is without the dash mat, nice and cracked :S the the bling el cheepo speakers :D
