So ive finally given up trying to locate a 5speed. I have been f#cked around with 5 sales now -_- So.... Query... I assume my 4speed and my 3k flywheel should bolt directly up to the 7k? And I assume if I by a new 3k/4k clutch, it should also be fine? Can someone please confirm this for me? Regards, Sam

Alrighty, Ill swap the 3k across. Ill need a new clutch as its on its way anyway. Ive read that the speedo drive cable fits, but doesn't spin the gauge. Thanks again,

Cheers for the information. He was running an autobox in his KE55 so id need to sort clutch and flywheel out anyway. Will a 3,4,5k (assuming all the same?) bolt up directly? or will it need modifying? Regarding the sensors, ive read that the speedo doesn't work on a KE70 5speed either. I will most likely be building a all aftermarket gauge dash anyway.

Hey guys, Picking up a 7k, Carby, Auto that has been in a KE55 already (So sump has already been modified) I have a KE30 with a 3k + 4speed in currently and am wondering what I need to do. - There is a 5speed for sale out of a KE70 (4k engine) *What would I need to do to make this fit the 7k engine in my KE30? *Mounts? *Tail shaft? *How much further back will the gearstick be? -This 7k is carby (32/36) weber. *Will the wiring be the same as my 3k? anything else id need to do? Ive seen original paint on cars go for more then a respray. Means theres no hidden repairs. Id say 2-3000, maybe $4,000 if its rego'd

hey guys, Starting to prepare to get the KE30 back from a full bare metal respray and would like to start collecting/putting together a new/refurbished front end. I know this has probably been asked 1,000 times but I couldn't find what I need. I would like everything in the front end to be new/refurbished, powder coated etc.. At this stage I would like to go coilovers and have read a few things on people making custom jobs by moding XT120s? Unfortunately this is the first time I'm attemping to do a full refurbish on a car, and would like to do it right. 1. Should i stick with a stock KE30 X-member? or is there another one that might be better for an upgrade? 2. Are there any coilovers that bolt on without welding? if so, what do I need for them, and can I get the parts New? 3. Is there a certain brake/coilover upgrade you'd suggest for 250rwkw+? 4. Where is the best place to get new bushes? 5. I'm looking at fitting 15x7" rims to the front, how low should the new springs be/what rating? sorry about the lack of knowlage... I'm only new to the Corolla/refurbish side of things... Regards, Sam

Hey Banjo, Will be upgrading engine one day (Maybe the SR out of my Gemini). But at this stage stock should be more then enough for the 1.2L. Maybe coilovers + big brakes in a year or two. Car will be a weekender/semi show. I think stock refurbished with new slotted rotors should be more then enough. I think my calipers are seized after not being driven for 5 years... (Wheel stiff with them on, wont spin freely) Also need new brake lines that I will most likely get a shop to make up. (I cut mine off due to impatience) Thanks, Sam

Hey guys, My ke30 is currently getting a full body restore, bare metal re-spray and Rust/dent removal. The front brakes are cactus and need replacing for rego. I have been looking around for new gear and am unable to find new calipers. Can someone point me in the right direction? I would like to replace the whole front and maybe rear brake systems. Regards, Sam

Similar issue happened with my SR. Ending up giving it a hiding cause i was pissed at it. 14psi maxing out gears, Been fine ever since (Could have had water in my fuel lines... have 0 idea haha)

Hey guys, New to rolla's, Picked up my first one about a month ago. Completely Stock KE30. Stripped it on the weekend and will be towing it up to Bathurst for some panel work and a paint this weekend. Many Canberra rolla owners on here?

Hey guys. My ke30s window wiper seems like it isnt getting enough power to it. Runs across the window twice then wont move again. Will move fine if not against the window.. thoughts?

haha it will be quick when the SR out of the Gemini goes in one day... but that wont happen for awhile.. Like this thing to much stock :P Thanks for all the replys guys.. Time to find a new cluster

Hey guys, I'm new to Rolla's, Pick up a KE30 the other day to turn in to a run around. Starting to fix the little issues to get it ready for rego. The speedo doesn't seem to be working correctly. Its reading 60-80kmph when only going about 10-20km in the drive way... Does this mean something on the gearbox is broken? Looked at the cable and it doesn't look to be spinning that fast.. Thanks Sam
