You'll see it soon I'm sure ;) Anyway i've been pretty busy in the last week but that doesn't meen I haven't done stuff on the car :) Long story short it now has a Cressi front lip which I cut down. Also got Club Rego today along with insurance so it's all legal! Still plenty more to do but i'm so happy to have it on the road for now. Pics. (The number on the plate is the same upside down. This car is full of cool bits! lol)

Great work boys! Humidity was bad enough just sitting there let alone rubbing back a car. Keep going :)

Lmao. Yes JP the Hilux was kickass :) Was wrapped with a 15.87 pass, but it was a thoroughly enjoyable day.

Thanks mate. Club rego has different rules and regulations in different states. here in Vic we now have the 45/90 day permit options. You can use the vehicle up to 45 or 90 days depending upon which type you choose. These days must be log booked with times and areas you are travelling. To get this you need to have a vehicle 25 years or older and be part of an accredited car club that is part of the club permit scheme. It costs around $110 for the year if i'm correct. More progress today, rear window regs are now 'fixed' and the rear windows don't slide down anymore :) Also fitted a fully hecktik pod filter ulehz.

Haha definitely no doark side mate ;) Got some more stuff done on the weekend. Scored some lowered king springs on pedders gas struts, so I wacked them in. And yesterday I chucked the grille on. Club rego/plates this week and then I can finally run it in properly!

Thanks mate :) Great to hear you are recovering from surgery and I really look forward to you eventually finishing the rollabus.

She lives! Got the beast started today and no issues so far except for a weak starter motor. Driving it on an unregistered vehicle permit until next week when it'll be going on club rego :) It got a polish tonight and still have to do other odds and ends like fit the grille and miscellaneous interior odds and ends. By the way it's so good to have another car in the backyard, it's like having your own pick-a-part! Pics. Ready to start Parked out on the street after a brief run-in and check over After a quick cut and polish

Double like :)

Haha, considering kexx series cars have only pikced up on price recently I don't think we'll be seeing the same thing with tincans for a while! Anyway more progress. Car has not being started yet but it is almost there. Today I fitted the new front and rear engine mounts and put the crossmember in. Fitted the exhaust manifold and center section as well as swapping over the bumper from the parts car. All that remains is to set up the dizzy and fit radiator and radiator hoses :)

I should be there again :) -
More updates people. I have gotten much of the motor back together now. Just need to do ignition, install radiator and fans, crossmember and new front and rear engine mounts and some other fiddly bits and pieces. Should be running by tomorrow afternoon, and maybe even club rego by the end of the week! And here is my $300 instruction guide on how to put it back together. Running and all!

Thanks guys. It's just a plastic white bumper with some lower sections cut out. I actually like it better with the sections cut out :)

Today's progress. Chucked the wheels on, and a bumper I got from carbonboy (still need to paint this and get a lip). Then ended up getting the oxy out an fixing the housing and coolant pipe so I could chuck on and tension the head up. Did that and fitted the T-VIS system and intake manifold. Go back on monday re-tension the head up and then start with assembly of the rest of the motor (and will have another working car as a real life instruction manual!). Will have it running next week :)

Update from yesterday. Bottom end is all done, basically gear has been all ready to go back together but waiting on a coolant pipe that runs at the back of the block under the head. So I bought another whole tincan for this piece and the housing where the top radiator hose goes to. Also re-painted the centers of my wheels black and other bits and pieces like rocker covers and heat shields etc. parts washed the intake manifold and t-vis manifold too. Here are some pics. broken pipe :(

Love the progress. And thanks for the bumper :)

Great shots Adam :) It was a great turn out and the weather held out just long enough! -
Looking cool mate. Quad headlights on a 20 is different, and makes it look like a cross between an early Corona and a TA22 :)

It's on the 26th and 27th of March

I'm in as long it isn't on the Grand prix weekend :)

Siiiiiick! See you there :)
