I've now got the weber on and running quite good. It probably needs a little fiddling around with the mixture and/or idle screws. Tomorrow I'm going to try to put the electronic dizzy on and see how it goes then
  2. Hasn't been working for me since Wednesday. The whole site didn't work at all last night, but I think it may have been a problem at the server end, because another forum (powered by the same provider) wasn't working for either
  3. My KE70 with 4K and K50 will rev at about 3500 in 5th at 100kph, and about 4000 in 4th. The diff is either a 3.9 or 4.1, don't know exactly and my wheel/tyre combo is 14x5(?) and 185/65R14
  4. Now that I have both cars running, I will be having 2 cars there. Provided the daily car lasts that long
  5. Well, when a mummy and daddy love each other very much..... Congratulations to you and your wife/girlfriend/other half. I hope everyone is doing well
  6. I don't know if anyone else knows about this, but these are fixed speed cameras coming on line in July * Federal highway, southbound, approaching Antill St roundabout. * Federal Highway, northbound, approaching Antill St roundabout. * Tuggeranong Parkway, both directions, near Cotter Road overpass. * Tuggeranong Parkway, both directions, near Hindmarsh drive overpass. * Barton Highway, both directions, between Curran Drive and Gold Creek Road. * Barton Highway, both directions, between Gungahlin Drive and Ellenborough Street. * Monaro Highway, both directions, near Hindmarsh drive overpass. * Monaro Highway, northbound, between Lanyon Drive and Sheppard Street. * Monaro Highway, southbound, between Mugga Lane and Isabella Drive. I can confirm that there will a fixed speed camera on Federal Highway, city bound, just before the Antil St roundabout. It is getting hard wired. I saw it today on my way home from work. Whoever the contractors are for installing it are a bunch of bludgers. I was at the servo there on the corner for about 10 minutes and i could only 1 guy working. The other half dozen or o were doing nothing.
  7. I love the interior. What Paint did you use? Is it just pressure pack or is real spray paint? I plan to do the same with my project (not the same colour though)
  8. It'll buff out
  9. Look at the VIN. The first letters/numbers will be the model number
  10. As far as I knew, we were. LINKY
  11. You lucky, lucky bastard. I can fit in a suitcase. Please?
  12. It looks like that toilet has water in it. No wonder people use it
  13. You can get a 32/36 Weber onto a stock 3K manifold by purchasing an adapter plate. And they can be located HERE
  14. What about the jets, mixture? or the floats? needle and seat? fuel filter? You would better off checking all those things before pulling the tank off to have a look at the pick-up that you suspect as the culprit

  16. I got the silver one going. Does that count? And thank you

;) IT'S ALIVE. FINALLY, THE F***ER IS ALIVE :bash: Turns out the biggest culprit was the timing. Just had to turn the dizzy until it fired. And, yes, I did have quite a bit flame coming out of the carby. That was amusing. So now the car is at my place. Feels good to drive it finally, but it does need a few things changed to suit me.
  18. Well, I tried to put the car on the bathroom scales, but they broke. So I just read the rego sticker
  19. Rego says my KE70 is 900 kgs, and I've on a site somewhere that a stock 4kc is worth about 60 hp at the fly

So now this car is really starting to p*** me off big time. I've tried everything I can think of to get this thing going. There is fuel going into the carby, I've changed the dizzy, coil, leads, spark plugs, and even the carby. I put fuel start down its throat, and it do a god damn thing. And to make things worse, I have to move the car from where it is because my friend decided to buy a car and now wants her garage back. So, can anyone help me at all? Anyone willing to come over and get it going for me? There may even be a 6 pack in it for ya, or something
  21. Who's trying to be like John? And who's John? And where's these pics???
  22. It would probably be quicker, easier, (and possibly cheaper) to just buy another master cylinder and just swap it over

Nah, the fuel isn't even getting to the filter. And when I put a bit of fuel down it's throat, it coughed, splatted, then the starter motor died. But i quickly got that replaced

Well, I've now got the weber on, anything is plugged up and ready to go. BUT it won't start. I've gone through all the usual things. But there's no fuel getting to it at all. I'm fairly sure the fuel pump works, even tried a different one. But I think there's a blockage somewhere. I'm thinking that it will be the pickup in the tank due to the tank being dry for so long that there could be a layer of gunk on it. So tomorrow after work, the tank will come off and I will see what I can do with it. If anyone can offer any other help what so ever, I will be very grateful (just don't say it's the dizzy, because its got spark, I know, I copped it)
  25. Hi and welcome. Hope THIS will help you make it to our next meeting. Will be good to see even more new faces
