And here I was thinking they were released with a 12A. I think the reason why they were gutless was not because of horsepower (they made more than the Holden 202), but because the total lack of torque. :hmm: I just can't remember the figures. :)

Try having a look at where and how all the linkage's mate up to the box. It's quite possible that any 5 speed that came with that series engine (is it a 'k' engine?) will fit. I know that with kingswood's, you could change it from 3 speed (with column shift) to a 4 speed and keep the column shift. All the linkage's bolted on. So I'd guess just have a look at the box, what sorta engine you have, etc. Hope this helps. Sorry I can't help you with your diff question

I have seen the way Thomo works, there's no way he would have time to spray my car. Thats why I didn't go to him. That and he's a mechanic, I didn't know he could spray. And yes, if I did know someone that could do it for me, I would. But I haven't lived here all that long, therefore I know only a handful of people. I have called around, cheapest quote was $4000+. I don't have that kinda money. I think the easiest way to gain entry to the "stick up for each other" club is I think you would have to live in the Canberra/ACT region. :cool: Worked for me. :)

Report him, you have done all the hard yards trying to get your licence and some prick (who probably doesn't like young drivers) is trying to keep you off the road? Stick it to him. I know that in vic you can get booked for driving 10kph under the speed limit with no probable cause and for 6kph over (3kph for speed gun/camera calibration and 3kph leeway). Dunno what it is in the ACT as I haven't been booked (yet)

I found it comes out easier with the steering wheel off, nothing has to come off on an angle. Only know this because I had to change the ignition barrel at the same time. Stupid roadworthy certificates :2thumbs: :n:

I know that this is kinda off topic and I am sorry if it's too farr off Cos the V6 was till in development when Holden decided to pull the plug on the ol' trusty 202, and they needed something to fill the gap for a couple of years. Holden did look into keeping the RB30, but it was too expensive to get someone else to build an engine for them. But now they're not using that old engine either, now it's a 3.6L 60-degree DOHC V6. Granted, it is underpowered when compared to smaller capacity engine (even the new toyota V6 makes more with les capacity) OK, time for me to get off my high horse, sorry if I pissed anyone off
