hey all, i have recently purchased a ke26 wagon and i want to do an engine upgrade but i have no idea what engine i should put in...? I don't want it to be a crazy fast street machine, but i don't want it to be the slow original engine either as its going to be my work car/daily for many years to come. I'm thinking just a 5k upgrade and 5spd convertion, but iv heard that the 5k's are hard to find and really hard to get parts for.... i don't mind the 4k's but they just don't do it for me untill you work the fark out of them. soooo i dunno what other engine could i go ? basically i wont a reliable engine that has a bit of get up an go when it wants and that will last ages and wont cost me heaps, aaaaand i don't want to cut up my chasis, and i don't want it to be a big engine...with the petrol prices an all... i dunno what else is there ??? all i no is the k series engines... some ideas would be much appreciated. cheers,haydo

hey all, so i put one 32/36 weber on my 4k and it started fine but just reved way up and wouldnt stop so i would have to shut it off, i thought that the accelerator must have been sticking but i disconected it and it continued to rev up.... so i had no idea so i changed it to the other 32/36 i had and this one wouldnt start atall so i put a bit of fuel in it and then it would start and rev up but no heaps high and then just die... any ideas....? the weber was running on a 4k previous to this and it was running on this engine about a week ago when i had a bloke come an fit it an tune it... so whats the go, its like its not getting fuel but it is as i can see it squirt out the jets... any ideas??? cheers, haydo

ye I'm mega keen on different style stickers, I'm thinkin hell graff style looks cool... thats my opinion, but ye would be cool if there was a massive range to choose from, also i don't no if its just my profile that dodnt do it but i would like it to save my sent pms..? as it has a link saying sent pms but when iv gone in there to check it its empty??? i would find it really handy as sometimes iv got a few pms about the same topic, and then iv replyed to a couple and then got abit confused if i have said the right thing to the right person...? no what a mean?? cheers, haydo.

haha cheers mate, ye iv got one of them redline rectangle air filter on there right now , looks nice and sounds good, i just pulled the water pump of that other weber, it was a lil bit hard to get some of the bits of but i managed, cheers, haydo

my mate got done buy a moterbike coppa for his sports steering wheel bieng to small, but the thing was he had the papers saying it was legal size in his hand an was waving them in his face but he was just a wank an said nap i don't care what that says, i say its to small. and the next day he went to regancy and got it off defect straight away and off he went.... corrupt???? YEEESS!!! also sorry ta hear about ya licence mate i no how ya feel, i lost mine for a year then had to do my p's test again to get it back (which was pretty much the crappest thing in the world) got it back had car accident, apparently i failed to give way so i lost it 3 points and being on my p's i only had 4 then i recieved a letter saying "due to all previous offences you have gone over your 12 points and will immediatly loose your licence for 3months...." i really really wanted to cut my self that day.... hah, but now I'm very happy as i can drive from tomoro, finally :lol: i will be laying very low, no speeding, no burnouts... hey atleast you didnt wrap your aristo around a stobey pole and now have to pay $11.000 debt off to etsa...(my brother) cheers, haydo.

just thought id add that I'm also not a fan of the dark tint... i was getting vanetians for the rear, but was unsure about getting it for the rear side windows as they are kinda small an it may look strange...? i no it would look sweet in the 26's an 16's as there rear windows are abit bigger and squarer, has anyone got a pic of a 38, 36 with rear an side vannys??? i highly doubt it as i can't say i have ever seen it... i do want to block out the rear with some kind of shade anyways so peeps can't see my sub, amp, speakers, ya no? i no that i can get them made up for the rear an side as i have already rang up an asked, so its just a case of finalising it.. i reckon ill deff get the rear window but still dunno bout side.... :P: oh and its running now, with a 32/36 weber, sounds like a really tough tractor atm haha, and ill pick it up tomoro with the new exhuast system whooo I'm exoooited to here it with abita tone yep yep. :lol: cheers. haydo.

ok cheers, i went for the one without the choke, i thought that the weber itslef will act like a choke so yeee, runs well so I'm happy :lol:

ye i wanted rear vanetians but the rear windows on the 38 are kinda small an might not look good with vanetians...

thanks for the comment guys :( ye can't wait to g-spec it abit ill go whitewalls, maybe a sunvisor..? don't reckon I'm guna go vanetians in this one tho, mite go with some dark tint.. look abit pimp what do ya reckon? mitch4397 its got adjustable coilovers in the front and atm iv just flipped one of the middle leafs in the rear, but may get some blocks just to go about an inch lower, not keen on flippin anymore than one leaf in this one just as its hell mega stiff with the coilovers so i wanna keep the rear pretty stiff without bouncyness ya no? ye ben keen for a cruze ay, ye gotta bloke coming tomoro arvo to get her running then its thermo fan tuesday an zorst wednesday then she is all good to cruze yeww, already got the steza in haha can't wait. :) :) cheers, haydo
