From performance ignition in melbourne.

I just got my ebay electronic dizzy with inbuilt ignitor recurved for my cam. Was $150 for the dizzy and $120 to get it recurved.

So this is a bit left field but my ke55 wipers are a little noisy and slow. Has anyone ever changed theirs out with something newer?

My 4k is just getting put back together now. Spent $2k on the little thing. Was going to do the 4age thing next but stumbled across the 2/3t engines on youtube and I'm in love. Not real love like make children but platonic like a cold beer on a hot day love. They sound pretty sweet and look great with the twin solex. Everyone is doing the 4age/sr20 thing (and there is nothing wrong with that) but I'm trying to embrace the "do more with less" classic corolla thing. Were the celica t50 gearbox's hydraulic like the ae86's?

Mate are you still going ahead with the swap? Iv found a running 2t for $200 I'm thinking of buying and rebuilding to put in my 55 for next summer.

The custom pedals and mounts are no problem. I found a guy who makes them for ke's. Fuel pump is a pretty standard vl turbo setup. 6 wires? I think I could handle that myself. Might be time to buy an engine crane/stand and take a bit off work. Cheers guys.

Iv done all the reading and been in touch with jordo about mounting kits. I'm looking for a workshop that I can drop it all off to and not have to come back a few times to get things fixed up. Plug and play loom would be great. There is a mob I found on the net that makes them, just have to post off both the looms you need spliced. Cheers guys the hunt continues....

So my 4k is in getting rebuilt. I purchased an electronic dizzy with inbuilt ignitor. I want to run a tacho and I'm wondering how do I go about wiring it in now I don't have dizzy points anymore? I've never wired in a tacho so I'm just trying to get my head around it. I'm sure I could just dump it on an auto elec but I want to do it myself. any ideas/suggestions?

Hi guys. doing up a ke55. I'm 36 and this is my first rolla. All new brakes and suspension. Extractors and exhaust. The tiny little 4k is in the shop getting warmed up for summer. I already know that in the near future I will want a 4age. I'm trying to find a mechanic in vic that knows rollas and 4ages. I'm happy to pay that bit extra for tidy work. Backyard or shop mechanic is fine. If anyone has used someone, or knows a mate who has please let me know. thanks
