yeh its a late model its a 73 model so not sure on the bonnet, dash is in kph i know the early ones are mph
-
just some pics of ke20 i bought don't know what going to do with it yet, either paint it hot pink and white wall it and keep it std, or put a v8 in it
-
very tidy example there are a few of these getting around in qld now, have u had it at the drags yet, mine went 14.1 at 100mph with std computer, 2.5 exhaust, std turbo 10psi, and very small intercooler. so urs should go a fair bit quicker than that.
-
yeh its been put to real good use, i havent measured exhaust either but definatelly no bigger than 2.5 not that I'm worried this is just my weekday car, am putting cortina back together now and should go an easy 11 sec. here is a little video

ok cheers shane yeh i hever been in one with std exhaust mine has 2.5 exhaust but has pretty tight bends usually bout 9 psi but last night was seeing nearly 10psi. pics would be good to as i didnt take camera
-
i don't think any import runs any less than 8 psi std, mine runs 9 - 10 psi straight of the actuator. the factory turbos are that small they don't really make a difference till after about 5psi anyway. not intending to be smart arse either
-
nice work shane definatelly got an 11 sec in it so u will have to keep trying.
-
car ran 14.1 at 100mph, car is still std computer, turbo, std boost 10 psi, 2.5 exhaust, small cooler, ran on my 185 tires as didnt have my slicks ready so didnt bother more boost, so maybe next time will run 14psi and slicks and hopefully go about 13.7 at about 105 mph
-
any chance of seeing this at the drags saturday night would be good three ca18 corollas there
-
looking good shane hopefully u can pull a good time now u have everything else setup. what time r u heaping down saturday?
-
hey just thought id add i have a mate with a ke20 with a blow through 3k or 4k can't remember, its a std motor hasnt been rebuilt. it runs a ca18 turbo of a j pipe manifold, no intercooler, std carby with drilled secondarys. it also has efi pump with fuel regulator. oil lines for turbo are just bundy tube(brake pipe) and it runs a 2 inch exhaust. and locked dissy to it made 100hp atw without dyno tuning and now makes 115 rwhp after tuning on the dyno, just thought that was a pretty good figure considering the basic mods only cost him couple of hundred dollars. gearboxes and diffs don't really like it but
-
they are 130 dollars a set but u can keep reusing them i got them from a place in melbourne called antique tires if u can't find number let me know think i have it at work.
-
yeha they do stop a bit of light but they look cool so makes up for it

14th sounds good to me got a couple of other mates from toowoomba going as well, should be good to c if my corolla can pull a 13, probably not but thats what I'm aiming for. any other brisbane corollas should come never have two amny corollas in one place.
-
yeah id have to agree it is a very tidy example and u wont have to go far if u ever want to sell, just make sure u sell it to me. still reacon u need white walls but, hopefully see it out tonight on the cruise.
-
most of u will remember this advertised on here about a month ago for sale. all ive done since buying it is put in std seats sold the race ones and sold the mags and put my white walls on. also did the xt130 corona brake and strut conversion. also fitted venetian and eyelids for head lights for bit of old school touch. the stuff that was already done was engine conversion and cut down 28 spline commodore diff. so i really didnt have to much to do which i like, as i need to spend some time on my cortina as have plans of it running decent times, and this is just my daily driver and the g/fs shopping car. have plans of going to the drags at willowbank in a couple of weeks just to c what it will run, should go high 13 easy i think will screw 14 psi into it and put my falken azenis on it. rough guess on power probably make 150rwhp on 14psi but will find that out one day as well just put it on dyno. links to pictures tell me if they don't work http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l145/sle...posspics005.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l145/sle...posspics004.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l145/sle...posspics003.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l145/sle...posspics002.jpg

Help With Xt131 Brakes Onto Ke30
sleepercorty replied to sleepercorty's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
brakes are on and working, so heres a list for those that want to know this was xt 130 brakes onto ke30. u need corona control arms and full strut at the bottom everything fits nice the corona control arms go straight in, u have to use them as they are longer that the corolla ones. swaybar and strut bar also fit straight up. u need to use corolla strut tops as the corona ones are bigger the shocks fit straight up to the corolla strut tops so easy there. the only bits u need to modify are brake hoses (i just made some at work) and had to modify springs i used the corona ones so they fit in the bottom of the strut, i cut two coils of the springs and they still stay captive just. the tops of springs are different diameter the corona ones are about 5mm wider at the top, and don't fit the corolla strut tops, so i used the oxy and heated the top coil of the spring and bent it in a couple of mm. fits nice now and give a nice low hight. i also used ke55 booster as they are bigger and a 13/16 pbr master cylinder. gets realy good pedal feel. hope this helps pther people. size difference corolla rotors are 218mm corona ones are 266mm so a massive size difference. -
Help With Xt131 Brakes Onto Ke30
sleepercorty replied to sleepercorty's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
just wondering if anyone has any progress on there conversions as i still havent got my car yet and am trying to get everthing ready for when it arrives, i looked up at work and the control arm bushes are the same and so are the ball joints are the same, but what ive heard u still have to use the corona cortrol arms as they must be different length. apart from that just wondering if anyone has found out anymore about springs to use? -
just wondering what is involved as i will be doing the conversion next week just to save some time if someone has done it before. putting ke 55 booster and bigger mastercylinder on, just wonderng what else i need to do i have heard everything bolts up just worried about the strut tops what to use if the corona shocks fit the corolla strut tops or not. any help appreciated
