  1. still havent put injectors in or done anything with gearbox, i think I'm going to be lazy with gearbox as i have found a couple of good second hand ones for cheap so once they have exploded might decide to build a decent one. i have to go away in a couple of weeks so when i get back I'm hoping to do injectors and fuel pump then probably tune it to about 500rwhp and race it again, hoping for a 10.5 but not sure if it will happen. it should make enough power but will probably only get one chance to run as i don't have a cage. much more than 500rwhp and might have to buy the wife a new daily driver, then i can get serious with it.
  2. would be a toss up for me ke30 ca18det 300rwhp cressida 1jz 440rwhp cortina 1jz 320rwhp cressida probably wins at the track 11.006 @ 123mph also nearly finished te cortina with 4.0l turbo should make around 500rwhp and high 9 second street car will be fun
  3. glad to hear you worked out my wiring diagram, whens the valve body get done? it will make it much more fun to drive
  4. cost me $550 posted with the plugs as well :S
  5. presents from the post office today 1000cc of goodness
  6. that must be why the soft drink is always shaken up when i get to it, rolling around in the boot while shes out street racing
  7. haha yes she does like racing the vl's, I'm helping my mate build a vl calais at the moment with to4z, r33 gearbox should hopefully make 450rwhp so she will be happy as long as she is faster than it.
  8. she keeps telling me how skatey it is in second gear if that answers your question.
  9. haha yeh I'm waiting for tax time aswell, i would love to take you for a drive in the cressida as soon as the wife lends it to me. i only drive it probably every second saturday
  10. can definately do you a rollaclub discount :)
  11. this is the first auto i have ever pulled apart and looks pretty simple, lets see if i can get it back together and working haha
  12. yep won the injectors just got to wait for them to get posted. also started pulling down the spare gearbox i have so i can try and fix it and add some extra clutches, i have to replace five of the steels in to box as well as they have some serious heat marks
  13. fuel rail showed up today and I'm now bidding on some 1000cc injectors hopefully i win them
  14. yeh thats the wife going ahhhhhhhh, i can just imagine her doing 123mph in the coles car park lol
  15. it does bogg down a little but 1.62 60 foots are pretty good so not going to bother with stiffer springs. it looks cooler with the front up in the air anyway
  16. with a manual gearbox you should be able to make plenty more than 400rwkw with 750cc injectors, with an auto maybe around 420rwkw manual 450-500rwkw which is a big ask from a sohc rb30 without serious amounts of money being spent
  17. was bored today so went to the drags i had 7 runs these were the 3 best, other runs were all 11.1 or 11.2 with 1.7 60 foots so is fairly consistent for a turbo car. 11.044 @ 122.62mph 1.629 60 foot 11.030 @ 123.10mph 1.639 60 foot 11.006 @ 123.52mph 1.626 60 foot
  18. i just ordered a top feed fuel rail and have some 750cc injectors organised as well as another walbro pump for in the tank, so should have plenty of fuel now for atleast 30psi if i need to go there. so bring on 500rwhp
  19. just used a hammer and chisel, i worked out that if you spend about 5 minutes hitting all over the floor as hard as you can without dinting it that the shock actually separated the sound deadener from the floor and it came off in big sections like this
  20. got atleast 25kg of body deadener out of the car all up, as well as about 25kg of other stuff that wasnt needed. also next time i race will take spare tire and tool box out which is about another 40kg so will be nearly 100kg lighter next time i race. heres a pic just of the body deadener from the whole car
  21. apparently they weigh around 1500kg
  22. did some weight saving this afternoon and pulled over 10kg of sound deadener just from the boot floor and under the back seat.
  23. not sure if I'm going to be chasing much more power just yet but if i buy the wife a new daily driver in the near future i will want at least 500rwhp minimum i think.
