  1. i could take you but its a long walk home for you when my gearbox goes bang so would prefer not to, if you came in after 1 oclock today i wouldnt of been there been out trying to get my new shed organised and built and yeh still got valiant have some ideas for engine in it but already have enough turbo cars for now
  2. tires are ok i have a heap of second hand ones already stocked. might go racing next weekend if the test and tune doesnt get cancelled
  3. yeh i can't wait, want to turn the boost up but need to run it how it is first. the power is starting to get out of control fast the wife still drives it everyday, but at the moment is still very streetable hope it stays that way with 600+hp so i don't have to buy her a new car. i don't need much encouraging to do silly things so it might of been a good thing that i turned into the pub, or my tires would of been feeling it today haha. exhaust doesnt seem to attract cops its kind of loud with the big convertor but, the whole time if owned it me and the wife have never been pulled over in it the joys of owning a cressida. if i get pulled over it will be from tire smoke not exhaust noise unfortunatley as i have zero self control, but have been lucky so far come have a chat one day at work, i can hook you up with cheap parts
  4. looks very good, i think i need to buy another one
  5. yes 130mph and 10.5 is the realistic goal should hopefully go closer to 135mph but will see, 130mph will make me happy for now. waiting for the weather to stop raining then back to the track run a time and then 2000cc injectors, build a gearbox and 30psi should hopefully see me to 600rwhp and 9.9 at 135-140mph. just need to run it to see what the tires and suspenion are doing before more power, also would like 1.5 60 foots off foot brake but tires may be a let down.
  6. very nice i was thinking about buying one of these for the wifes new car 1jz's rule
  7. hopefully racing wednesday if the rain holds off
  8. new shocks are fitted and much stiffer so hopefully doesnt squat as hard now. if anyone wants a near new set of ma70 struts to suit cressida $100 plus postage. they retail for about $150 each and have done about 3000kms and are much better than standard cressida ones.
  9. i will be happy with 130mph next time, might be able to get closer to 135mph but will wait and see. most of what comes out of my exhaust now is just water, e85 lots of power and good for the enviroment
  10. yeh his are custom pedders but thats about all i know. i will start with the shocks as they have 4 adjustments and then if i need more will start going up spring weights.
  11. yeh if i could get pump up shocks would be good, also really don't have anywhere to fit poly bags so this is the first solution. the power will still push the shocks down but will help the initial hit of the power.
  12. yeh we did put some positve camber in it last time to compensate, have talked to a couple of mates in the know and they said just fit the adjustable shocks on the hardest setting and see what happens. if i can half how much it squats should improve the 60 foot time as well.
  13. yes to much squating is bad, this is what it was like last time so more power is only going to be worse
  14. i just ordered a set of koni adjustable shocks for the rear to try and stop it squating so hard, but am unsure if i will need a heavier spring to suit. i already have corona springs in the back which are 200 pound instead of the standard 185 pound spring rate. I'm not sure if i go a heavier spring if i will get the bump or bounce kind of problem. anyone a suspension guru?
  15. yeh were not going to push it any further for now just enjoy it how it is, we had the knock box on it and not any hint of detination. we went up 7 degrees to start with then added 2 more at a time and when we got to 28 degrees even though we hadnt got to knock point we thought it was plenty so left it there. the way i drive it would preffer safer over another 20hp
  16. turbo still has at least 10psi left in it, its pretty much the same turbo shane 1jz747 used to run, which he used to run 37psi and 100hp of nos on a standard engine. he had the same problem with convertor not giving a true reading on dyno but going by the mph he was making alot of power.
  17. yeh i do believe you were the closest guess, id love to tune this thing with a standard convertor with lock up to see what power its really making. i just took it for a drive while the road is dry before it rains again and 80kmh in top gear turns straight to smoke and rev limiter i really think i have got to enough power for a street car. to give you an idea it had 450rwhp on bp 98 with 19psi and 15 degress of timing, now is 23psi and 28 degrees of timing and just hits maxduty on the 1000cc injectors. so what power it really makes is anyones guess, will be interesting to what mph it runs.
  18. yeh still stock bottom end, not to worried about it can make plently more power on it yet. I'm more worried about the standard gearbox but it is going strong so far. i will run it how it is and then probably make a 4 point cage next year for it so can run deep into the 10's and eventually a 9.
  19. also makes power all the way to new revcut of 8750rpm
  20. gearbox was having issues to start with but after we sprayed water on the trans cooler started playing the game again, 521rwhp on 23psi and we have maxed out 1000cc injectors and going by the amount of rubber all over the dyno room and my car we are loosing some through the tires and the rest through the convertor and possibly gearbox. to max out 1000cc injectors with e85 we should technically be making around 750hp at the flywheel. lets just say that on the road it is insane
  21. played around with wastegate springs this arvo and now have 19psi of springs in the waste gate (instead of bleed valve), feels like it definately has more power than last time i raced so might have to invest in some wider tires for the street i think.
  22. wow thats alot id be happy with just 1.0
  23. dyno time saturday hopefully, anyone got a guess on power figures will be around 25psi with e85
  24. did a quick pump fuel tune today so the wife can drive the car again and picked up a little more power on less boost, so will probably leave it how it is until we do the e85 tune soon
  25. corty went good in its last build so will be exciting this time
