  1. Whats the difference between the 3k , 4k cam and a 5k cam? what is changed to make them compatible for solid or hydro lifters?
  2. Yeah fixed two, coming from vacuum lines, and the base gaskets are all new. I'll probably check the it again though.
  3. Hi all Having some problems with a 5k installed in my ke70 Specs Mechanical full pump Tighe mid range (cam154 or something I Can't Remember the exact number) Extractors fully rebuilt head Re curved dizzy by performance ignitions (to suit cam 95 petrol and the 32/36weber i previously had on it) 4k carby with weber main jets 130 primary 155 secondary fuel is a little old it was 98 when put in tank, plus i just recently added some octane booster to be sure. Problems 1)Its pinging badly at around 3000 RPM under light load with the secondary enabled 2)If the secondarys are connected and the give the engine a hard clutch kick its as if the throttle cable will stick on (isn't the cable though checked by putting foot under pedal and pulling it back) and hold the revs at 3000+ Rpm until you change gear or switch the engine off. 3)If i disable the secondarys its only pings slightly at around 3000 RPM under heavy load Things i have done so far: 1) I was having the same problems with a 32/36 weber which i removed because it was annoying me and it wasn't idling at all. 2)fitted the 4k carby with stock jets the car then idled a better and ran a little better 3)rebuilt 4k carby and changed the jets from stock (106 and 153) to 130 and 155 weber jets (only ones i had laying around and they seem to work) this enabled the car to actually maintain an idle under 1500RPM and reduced the pinging 4)pulled some timing from the motor curenntly set to 6*degrees (sticker said to set to 10*) this reduced the pinging a little as well. Now my questions is do i just keep going up in jet sizes? or am i missing something simple? Also will it matter that my distributor was recuvered to my current specs but for the weber, not the 4k Asian carb ? Any help would be much appreciated as right now i feel like setting it alight and watching it burn to the ground. thanks
  4. The last place i saw stocking Greddy coil overs was infinite motor sport on ae86drivingclub.com.au, I'm pretty sure you can run them on your ke all you need is a set ae86 steering arms an it should all bolt straight. The Greddy ones are nicer then weld on kit because your not running an old fatigued stub axle which would be a good thing if your planning on running low offset wheels an bigger brakes in the future.
  5. the greddy coil over set up is like that except the front coilovers come complete with stub axles on the front struts.
