woops. i sold this about a month ago. yeah got it running all sweet. used a holey fuel regulator on it and mounted that to the firewall. Heres the final pic of the engine bay, the morning starts was due to the battery being old so a new one fixed the morning issues. never got onto a dyno though, change of job location meant i had to sell it up. :(

how can you lower only a bit in the front and 2.5 inchs in the rear? reverse rake?

ok so the Su's are now on, had a few issues with fuel pressure to start with but have now fixed all that. had to re route my fuel lines and mount a nice holley regulator on the firewall. i must say the car is now amazing to drive. goes bloody hard, will get a day light pic of the setup soon. hoping to get them properly tuned soon to get the most out of them and even a dyno to see what i am making

the 20 is currently sitting in the shed, i am part way through putting twin SUs on it, had a fuel issue i am hoping to fix tomorrow and hoping to drive by the weekend.

hey all. just out on twin SUs on my warm 3k. now i'm having issues getting the thing to idle at first i had it running but i had fuel pouring out the reservoirs so i was told to put a fuel pressure regulator in the line. i did so between the fuel pump and carbs. now... i then had it running again and now the fuel issue from the reserviors was fixed, but now it wouldn't idle and i had flames coming out the trumpets. after letting it sit for maybe 2 hours i came back to it and now i believe its getting bugger all fuel to them as it just constantly sounds like its starving of fuel, i disconnected the regulator on the side of the carbs to see if fuel was coming through, from 1 through to 4 psi i was getting nothing but at 5 it was kinda dribbling through. so... is my new regulator stuffed? and why can't i get it to hold idle? i'm newish to the SU carb scene, so if anyone can shine some light on the situation, or possibly lend a hand (i'm in SA) it would be greatly appreciated cheers nick

dude, i drove past your car on sunday. and the front end was on stands on the street, i just assumed you were doing front end work, thats f@$ked that wheels were taken as i only live round the corner and my rolla is sometimes on the street :/

there not baggin it cause its a corolla dude... in all honesty, the car has so much going on for it. its not my thing. i wouldnt turn around and slander it... but its boostcruising man.

10 o'clock date with derryl

Soooo i'm back in another ke20. Most of you know this car already. engine; Head slightly ported and polished, lumpy cam, extractors, lightened flywheel, new valves, springs, pistons. pretty much everything was freshened up, the effort gone into the engine is awesome and it shows when driven. since getting it i have had another muffler installed as it was way to loud, lowered it and as of today had whitewalls put on. interior is pretty much overrated bar the drivers seat, and it seems the carby is on its way out. looking to go some sought of weber or something to get that extra bit of power its lacking. any advice would be fantastic.
