  1. aaah you see... everyone just looks at the shiny things.... :(
  2. So... what if you were using liquid oxygen...
  3. If you really want it to sound like you're driving a 44 gallon drum, get some dry ice onto the bitumen sound deadener on the floorpan.... cracks right off. saves a few kilos too.
  4. Thats why I put it in my first post......
  5. Holy chronic nosedive batman
  6. Or buy four of them and mount them UNDER your business and you can elevate them at night so the whole building is a metre off the ground... Tee hee....
  7. This one had me completely buggered for a while when I first started playing with cars many moons ago too The winder is held on with one of these And to get it off you need one of these... I call it "the thingy" available from panelbeater's supply shops Or alternatively, get a tea-towel or something like it, hold two corners, pull it tight, and work it up underneath the handle until it pops the circlip out. And swear a lot. That helps. :y:
  8. Great.... so, If you accidentally hit one of these things, you're completely screwed, but at least the pole will be fine. Nice to see human life coming second place to the cost of replacing a freaking bollard.
  9. I tracked down the owners of those utes....
  10. That thing would chew through uni joints like a bitch...
  11. My first car was a KE55 with more holes than John Howards new IR legislation.... luckily, it was the same colour as super cheap masking tape. You connect the dots... :laff: Just remember to replace it every week cos it goes all wrinkly after a while.
  12. edit... double post
  13. I can fly helicopters..... I'll swap you a car for a joyride... :) But you'll have to keep your sweaty little hands to yourself cos I ain't down with the brown... ya dig?
  14. Freakin rednecks.... grrr
  15. Um... yeah dude I'd maybe tone that behaviour down a little If you had any ambitions of romantic interludes with aforementioned strumpets... Boobies are nice... you should get excited about them too :P
  16. mmm don't get me started on 4wd wagons... I dig 'em. going to pick up a legnum as soon as compliance becomes available.... As for the teenage mutant ninja tercel, as much as it would be fun, I think I'll keep things simple for the moment and just stick with the twinky implant... I have a KE70 awaiting a CA18 conversion as well as the tercel and another '70 rally/daily that keeps eating bits of itself and costing money so we'll see how things go ;)
  17. I stand corrected... I wasn't too concerned with the details. Small ugly car, large ugly engine, insert bogan hero, vroom vroom.
  18. Or one of these.... Austin A30 Peter Brock had one as his first racecar. shoehorned a holden grey motor into it. They're not exactly common... but there's a number of different british made shopping trolleys from this era with a very similar (read: light, simple RWD on a short wheelbase) configuration. Pre-harry potter ford anglias, cortinas, austins, morriseseses etc... all dead easy to drop a 4k into.
  19. Well... I am whacking the 4AGE in it... and it does only weigh 900andsomething kg... I reckon that could be achieveable if I rebuilt it to suit a stupidly large turbo and giggle gas... Be a bitch to drive to work though.... what with snapped cv's and a diff with no teeth... ;)
  20. Have you thought seriously about a volkswagen? I've played around on the dirt in a few over the years and I've been amazed at times... A stock beetle with chunky rears has an amazing amount of traction and a surprisingly tractable torque curve, even with big wheels/tyres. Also they move very quicky lock to lock and pivot well when you're turning under acceleration. I reckon my pick would be a fibreglass buggy, on a shortened chassis with a mildly worked 2litre combi motor. Stock internals, couple or downdraught strombergs and a very offensive exhaust. And hell even if it wasn't very competitive it'd be a shiesseload of fun ;) My 2c
  21. Well thats reassuring... I was beginning to lose faith. Before I met this one I was pretty keen on the idea of herding them all into a desert and throwing rocks at them...
  22. An interesting prospect... although I think given the handling dynamics (or lack therof) of said tercel, the arse end would probably try and overtake the front under brakes... ;) Mind you... If I happened to have a lazy 20k lying around I'd build it as a drag car, purely for shits and giggles... heheheh... 10 second tercel
  23. She wasn't rubbing it back... she was exfoliating it. :P
