I've had this problem before... I had to jack the shell up and put two big koppers logs underneath it running lengthways so they could slide it on to tilt truck easier

aaah nothin wrong with good ol' GTX2... cheap n cheerful... Just ignore the woeful racket from the timing chain before the tensioner builds up pressure and get a catch can if you're gunna get enthusiastic :)

Just on a side note.... found this whilst searching. Apparently its a 4wd Turbo "conquest". interesting. I'd never heard of a turbo 4wd in the AE82 era rollas. I'm assuming it was some kind of works special.

Yeah for sure I'll post pics I'm think I'm going to go with the TRD scheme.... I'll shoot the silver in 2pack and use vinyl for the red and orange with black pinstripe edging. car is already white so I'll decide whether it needs a full spray first before I go freaky with the colours. All i gotta do now is tear it outta my girlfriends hands for a weekend... she's taken quite a liking to it... never should have taught her to drift roundabouts in the wet :)

hey crew Does anyone have pics of TRD or toyota factory sponsored rally or racecars circa 1980-1990? I'm talking KE70-AE86, RA40 celica or even the later ST series celica gt-fours in full race trim I'm bored with the paintjob on the pig '70 and wanna go full retro-race styles... just for the hell of it. sorta like this thanks guys

Hehehe you could say that about every car ever built.... with exception given to the hyundai getz, which when given this treatment ends up looking like a broken rollerskate.

My first car... ever... was a ke55 in that colour... *almost* the same colour as masking tape :)

Hey mate... welcome aboard where abouts in indo are you from? I've spent a lot of time over there... love the place. Especially nusa tenggara. Indonesians do crazy stuff to cars... last time I was there I wandered past a wokshop in surabaya and noticed a dude grafting old school mercedes tail lights onto a HQ kingswood...

Don't worry dude I've always used exedy and haven't had any issues... And I'm a renowned clutch killer... Ive adapted my driving style so that the clutch is the weak link to avoid other drivetrain breakages. Also I tow things with the pig '70 and it hasn't slipped or shuddered once and its been recieving abuse for over a year

hehehe yeah good for crawling up hills and pulling out tree stumps though :( AL25 has a 6 speed with an EXTRA low 1st gear... completely useless but an interesting novelty none the less

ok so this is my first post in this thread after reading it for months and I just gotta say a couple of things. First, THIS CAR is the reason I became a member of rollaclub. It made me realise the potential that lies within my humble KE70. So much so that I went and bought 2 more, one of which has been painted wrx prodrive blue and is destined for a full show-standard rebuild and a rotary. Dude, if it turns out even HALF as good as yours is going to be I'm gunna fly you up here for the weekend to go for a squirt to port douglas. You're driving. well done.
