^^^ That WE have to pay for... 200 Mil spent so far, and the campaign only started in ernest on the weekend.
Millions and millions of dollars WASTED on educating the public on who to vote for. There's two things that bother me about this.
1. Does the government assume we're f@$king stupid? Granted, a large portion of the community takes very little interest in effecting some influence over the government they elect to control every aspect of their wretched miserable lives, but for f@$ks sake, anyone gullible enough to cast their vote on the basis of something they saw on television should probably be left ignorant, and let them make a random decision on voting day.
As someone who considers myself politically aware, find the whole process insulting to say the least. Because I give a shit, I will do my OWn research, and I will make my OWN decision. I will not be so stupid as to fall for marketing ploys and spin, thankyouveryf@$kingmuch.
2. Do you KNOW what 200+++++ million goddamn dollars could do? I mean f@$ken hell, we're hearing both major parties waxing lyrical every day... "I'm going to fix the hospitals, I'm going to repair the roads, I'm going to create a better education system"... et al... well, doesn't all that shit cost MONEY? Lots of it? Here's an idea, (and call me crazy) how about instead of spending hundreds of millions of dollars of MY money telling me what you're going to do, how about you take that money, and JUST GO AND f@$kING WELL DO IT you big business backdoor dealing cocksucker!
Or, even better... do something proactive instead of reactive for a change. Ya know, like spend a bit of coin on renewable energy? Or maybe alternative fuel infrastructure? How about researching a way to ensure we don't all DIE OF THIRST in 10 years eh?
That feels better... have a nice day.
