  1. f@$ks me, thats why I asked... but it hammers for a K :) DOES need to revved to extract the goods though, although that may be the exhaust and weber influencing it.
  2. Y'know those moments you have when there's a dude in a red suit holding a trident on one shoulder, and one in a nice white suit with a halo on the other.... And an unimpressed looking girlfriend standing behind you, reading your posts, saying things like "Isn't 12 bloody cars enough, how about you finish off a few projects before you get some more" mmm. Thanks for the info guys. Appreciate it.
  3. Mr. Felix's fun formula makes me think twice about giving the pushrods to teddy... and there is a ke20 around the corner I could possibly pry from the cold clammy hands of the old bugger who owns it... Hmmm. How hard is it to get reco bits for these... rings, bearings etc...
  4. aaah to have a leaf spring rear end. sooo easy. Pintara?
  5. Just for some added trivia, its has those little extra square castings in the head underneath number 1 and 4 spark plug holes.
  6. Not all starwagons are 4wd... There's the 7 seater starwagon and commercial 'express' 2wd. That being said, I went through 2 boxes in 60 thousand k's in my Delica so they're probably made of balsawood and promises like everything else from mitsubishi
  7. Pretty sure gearboxes from petrol delica/starwagon will bolt up...
  8. Yeah its got the little 'warning use extra long sparking plug' sticker on it. Doesn't have the electric dizzy but I think that may have been swapped. Doesn't really surprise me that it's the dished piston engine, the damn thing hammers more than any other K I've driven... I swapped the nikki for a weber, chucked some headers on and it just sings all the way to 9 grand...
  9. Howdy kids... Just ripped the engine out of one of my growing fleet of KE70s, and it appears to be a 4K-U. Never noticed before... I've read the FAQ and gleaned a bit of info on the differences between it and a 4K-C, but I'm looking for a bit more detail. Are they particularly rare? Should I keep it and build it up? Cheers
  10. I reckon the complaining nieghbour was jealous the other bloke had more inches than he does...
  11. Go the Scat :) I have a trayback one of these sitting in the backyard I'm going to dump soon, let me know if you need any bits :D
  12. Just on the subject of pano bar indicators, I think I saw some on evilbay... they're listed as ke70 but they sure as hell look like square in-bar ones to me.
  13. Again, Suede :)
  14. See kids, this is why everyone should have a shitbox as their first car. And, maybe second and third in this fella's case... :lolcry:
  15. sparky go boom
  16. YES.... completely different beer! I help organise oktoberfest up here every year and we import kegs of becks ourselves... and man, is it better.
  17. Not all wine should be aged either... in fact most reds aren't made to mature. Optimum drinking time is 2-4 years after bottling. The ones that ARE suitable for aging usually have it written on the bottle somewhere. GF works in a bottle shop :lolcry: yay for discount booze EDIT: Oh yeah german beer is the shiz. Oktoberfest next weekend w00t!!!!
  18. and the sweet sweet sugar.... mmm VB tastes like arse the moment it leaves the brewery...
  19. I don't think there IS an actual "safe" way... A mate of mine has a few bits missing from his hand from cutting up a 44 gal drum, and he did the water thing too. Go easy
  20. Pulley has been pried from my greedy little hands...now get to it... chop chop
  21. I am aroused by your exhaust manifold.
  22. Its possible that I may be coerced into parting with one...
  23. Now lets all have some chai tea and a biiiiig hug
  24. ^^^ +1... preparation is the key. Scrub with hardcore car wash mixed with a wee bit o degreaser, use a scotchbrite pad wipe down with thinners wipe over with Prepsol or similar Spray. Many many light coats is the trick. Don't use the cheap shit, cos its.. um... shit. White is a pain in the arse though, and gets manky really quick. Consider a really light grey...
  25. ^^ thats them.... oooh they give me the willies.
