  1. fnaaaaaarrrrrgh just let it DIE!!!
  2. I was just thinking the exact same thing
  3. Mojito. Ingredients: - 1 1/2 oz light rum - 1 tbs superfine sugar - Lime wedges - Club soda - overrated sprigs Muddle overrated leaves, superfine sugar and lime in a mixing glass. Add 1 1/2 oz light rum and ice in a cocktail shaker and shake. Strain the mixture into a tall glass and top with club soda. Garnish with fresh overrated sprig. Sugarcane syrup can be used to replace superfine sugar.
  4. Yeah like dunny reckons... series 2 had the rear centre garnish.
  5. You'll find it a pleasure... they're quite a simple bit of gear.
  6. 2 inch system with a single rear muffler and a resonator. All you will ever need for anything you could possibly do with a K motor. $300, 350 tops. Add a set of headers if the budget stretches that far... add $160 or so.
  7. Doing a search on this forum will yield a wealth of knowledge, and probably answers to most of the questions you ask, as most have been asked before. But, just quickly... You have a 4A-FE engine. Built more for economy rather than power. Not many upgrade parts are available for this engine... mainly because modifying a 4A-GE gets better results, as they were designed to be a performance engine. You can get parts like headers and pod filters for the 4AFE, but the minimal power increase you'll get from these mods alone probably won't justify the cost. Being front wheel drive, engine upgrades are quite easy. There are several variants of the 4AGE, all of which will bolt up to your automatic gearbox just fine. I'd probably recommend a silvertop 20 valve 4AGE... they are cheap, readily available, and rev like a bastard :) Easy swap too.
  8. Ah yeah depends if the kit came with the whole thrust assembly or just the bearing itself I think, mine didn't. Had to knock it out and then smack the new one in with a big socket
  9. Most American cars have auto locking doors.... quite a few euros too.
  10. Yeah there's two little wire springs on the bearing holder thingy. Pop them off and it'll slide off the input shaft.... then you gotta smash the old bearing out and tap the new one in. I think thats the go anyway... I'm old and my memory is fuzzy.
  11. The AE86 was the very last rwd... it was produced at the same time as the AE82, which was the first fwd. Sort of a crossover period. I think 1987 was the last year for AE86... ?
  12. aaah but I must beg to differ there my good man.... Although, the two doors do look rather porn.
  13. First thing's first... get rid of the Cressida badges and put Chaser ones on there, like it should have :(
  14. Correct. Quite rare these days too...
  15. The other tab on the back of the horn pad is the earth.
  16. There should be only one wire to connect... and it should already be sticking out of the boss. If its not, well I guess you're fooked
  17. Apparently they had considered it.... about the time the model swapping deal ended with Holden (think corolla/nova, camry/apollo, commodore/lexcen) they needed a replacement in the "biggish sedan" class... a few models were considered, amongst them the Crown and Celsior (still sold in Japan, and VERY pimp) and the Chaser... but because we're a country full of useless lazy morbidly obese gastropods, they decided the rear seating and legroom wasn't enough. Moral of the story: If we weren't so f@$king FAT, we could have the option of driving a locally delivered Chaser, rather than the hopeless slab of unremarkableness that is the Avalon.
  18. '99 JZX100, series 2. The Mighty 1JZ-GTE
  19. It will land in about 4 weeks... customs, compliance etc will take another few weeks after that.
  20. Back in AU.... blessed be the tropics  I'll get around to uploading some video sooner or later.
  21. I know that feeling.... Just make sure you don't start taking shortcuts as you get close to the finish line... something I always do
  22. I think 16" is a reasonable size for a rwd rolla if you just HAVE to go for that big bling look...
  23. ^^^ GOLD Spruce goose MK II
  24. I can tell you exactly what will happen... the small bit of metal which has the VIN stamped on it will be cut out and sent to DOTARS to 'prove' its been 'crushed'... I've heard of it being done to circumvent the rules for importing 'race use only' vehicles. Incedentally, I inspected quite a few new evos at the Tokyo auctions... and as much as I despise Mitsubishis I will admit that they are a pretty damn sexy and serious bit of kit... wouldn't mind taking one for an extended test drive through the twisties
  25. Shityeah... mini leadsled! Deffo needs a chop top though, and everything shaved or frenched
