we should sticky the definitive youtube video thread, and list the 'must see' corolla/old toyota/driving vids. could lead to alot of people wasting away trawling youtube though.

solid axels = constant 0 degrees camber on rear and no deformation, which is the aim of most drift cars and the million different suspension parts you see bantered around as drift essentials

http://youtube.com/watch?v=vziCWbkCNIc i want one

? its Dick and Jane, and thats all i understood

Its the best when people do something different and can't be swayed otherwise. I can't think of much else other than porting and enlarging valves, double valve springs should help you reach the revs you want. Good luck with it, 'agricultural' engines like this sound awesome when worked radically.

Early Model Corrolla Brake Upgrades
Retrospekt replied to YKE 20T's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
will call them tommorow and see how much, looks interesting. not a fan of drilled rotors though, they crack and eat brake pads like a cheese grater. -
ok ta scott, only problem with rarespares is it will put some stuff on hold to get the whole kit when i only need the windshield rubber atm, might just have to bite the bullet. oh well, whats another week of waiting
-
lol, 3MG engine, $25,500.00 some interesting stuff there tho. the 2000cc 2tg's, for turbo use? sounds worrying
-

-
car is now down at suttons panelworks, and I'm trying to source some new rubbers for the car. i know rarespares carrys them, and have found a set on ebay but it only lists 5 rubbers in the kit and not particular items. does anyone else know of other places to get new ones?

we have a dyno sheet from before the head porting for about 140hp atw. more concerned about flex while cornering, and adding some more weight towards the rear
-
yeah i was thinking of getting superlights made up, although i do like the simmons b45 and the simmons alta
-
as of Monday the car will be off getting the rust repaired, the same guy wants to paint it and is willing to do a nice price on torana barbados green, yellow or white. thinking the green, would look funny methinks

mmmm morning, nasty habit of not being able to sleep in thanks to working at 5am each day anyways engine mods list is here, its fairly comprehensive and we are expecting big power, like silly power for a na engine. so the list goes: 222 head (6 bolt front double valve spring head) ported and polished head flow to 214 hp custom 1 piece stainless ferera valves (roughly same size as v8 chev) kolbenschmidt pistons cams by sure cam crane double valve springs iwis roller chain romac adjustable timing gears 10.5/1 comp ratio ajusa gasket set 220 block 3t crank and rods lightened and balanced ndc and clevit bearings hi volume oil pump 7l baffled sump other parts: 45mm dellortos redline manifold (dodgy people, everyone i have spoken to has not had a straight fit mani from them) triple core aluminum radiator (cut down v8 super car!!) procomp pc91 coil and; pc6al ignition thingy (Multi-Spark Capacitor Discharge Ignition) 2 x t50 20 spline from memory and 3inch tailshaft with custom uni joints its was built for a ipra race car so it should go ok, made to make lots of torque and is classed as a 1600 but really its 1800, the block has grooves cut in to fit the crank ;) instead of using the identifiable bigger block. laters guys, and thanks for the comments :)

Recently bought a ke20 off a forum member and local, has replaced my ke55 as a project car as i like these shapes better. had bought a 2tg/3t hybrid for the 55 and it seemed a waste to try and sell the engine as i would never get what has been spent by me so far and the previous owner so its down the resto road i go. hopefully getting the rust fixed up within the next week, then a new paint job to keep it in good nick for a while longer. most probably end up white, not too fussy on colours etc. it will just be a car for fun so interior will be 2 seats and some aluminum trim, maybe a half cage if it flexes too much, anyone who can give me ideas on suspension and brake upgrades for a ke20 would be most loved, its the only part I'm abit lost on. engine thats going in is a 2tg/3t hybrid has been at the end of my bed for awhile now paitently waiting, once again just waiting to find time when I'm not working to pass the mani over to mr wegener for porting, the rest is just getting hoses and the exhaust done. anyways time for pics, will post engine mods when i check the head and block number and find the other reciepts. cheers Nathan.

or you can put 3t internals into a 2t block, need to flip some bearings and have grooves cut into the block to fit the crank. styler has the full details afaik, he posted them somewhere before
-
ok guys i will do a te27 if someone can find me a good photo, pref not black, and as large as possible. wow the link to the site on the ke70.com thread, that guys work is brilliant.

Have the mechanics you have spoken to said anything about the size of carb you are using? George Wegener was very hesitant to help me out when i told him what size engine and carbs i will be using.
