I've tried and tried and looked everywhere but i can't find out how to get this out. As it's old and probably fairly brittle i don't want to force it too much. Anyone know what's holding it in back there or how to get the knob and shroud off the front? Thanks Matt...

Looking really good mate. My 10 is still half stripped, pulled the motor and box out yesterday, what a job. Seeing yours really makes me want to get in and get motivated to get something done. One day...

Ke20 Corner Garnishes From Phils Rotary's
mattress replied to benzo's topic in Automotive Discussion
Phil is a dodgey dodgey man. My brother had a motor built and engine conversion done through him many years ago. Lets just say it was average at best. When my brother picked his car up there was a big scratch on the tailgate of his wagon's new paint. Phil claimed a cat got in through an open window and knocked something off a shelf onto it. We also found a very nice tidy mazda 1300 wagon and decided to swap that for a weber, manifold and tune. Phil knocked $500 off the price for our trouble.... -
I try not to think of it.... I try really really hard, but it haunts me....

Yes, that looks like it. Mine was an auction though, not 'buy it now'.....

Ever heard the old saying 'less is more'? I think applying it in this instance would be a good idea...

Davros, not too much trouble at all. I hope the pics are sufficient but if not from front to firewall mount is 14.5cm and from the left to the brass nut is 7.5cm. Also from the clip on top to the lowest point being the electrical fittings is 12cm. If you need anything else just give me a yell...

I don't really know much about it. I got it off ebay from a guy who sells old stock by the name of 'europarts4auction'. Here's some pics of the box if you wanna do some chasing up.

Further details or links to what? Where i got it, or.....?
-
Yeah i figured as much but wasn't really sure. I'm told it fits without mods, so here's hoping. Thanks, i payed $120 delivered from the states which i thought was fairly reasonable...

I bought this Johnson brand twin brake master cylinder setup to suit my KE10. As i'm not that mechanically inclined can anyone tell me what the fittings are under the brake line fittings? I'm thinking maybe an electrical switch to show low fluid or brake failure or whatever....? Any help or discussion is appreciated... Thanks, Matt....

I can't believe you raped a KE10/11 with a commodore V6 of all things. Shame on you... As Rolliac has said i saw the adaptor too and i tried to find the link but no good, sorry...

In short, yes but it's pretty difficult...

Yeah, asking if anyone had one was a little joke, haha... No haven't got into the plug yet. Just thought i would do some little jobs inside when time permits. If you could dig that up for me i would really appreciate it...

Well the standard KE10 dash has brake on the red lense but its a different shape. Perhaps i could trim it to shape with the trusty dremel. Anyone happen to have a red lense with 'brake' on it from a KE10 tacho dash...?
-
Thanks very much. I hope the lenses out of a standard KE10 dash will fit. I wonder if the handbrake lense is supposed to have 'handbrake' on it...

I'm wondering if anyone can help with some knowledge on my KE10 tacho dash? I bought this dash some time ago and pulled it out of the cupboard to clean and repair it as a couple of the little coloured plastic lenses were floating around in it. My question is, on the pic, below the tacho and speedo what goes where? There was a blue lense floating around and i imagine that is for high beam, but which side? Also what colour lense should the other side be and what sort of warning light is it? Any help is appreciated, Matt...

Getting your leaves reset professionally really isn't very expensive. I think it cost me about $100. Just do it properly..

I just picked up a set of those. I'll post pics tonight when i get home. They came with Delta centre caps but i'm not sure if they actually belong to the rims. I'm willing to sell too...

Car looks a million dollars mate, i really like it. Can i ask about your white walls? Are they a factory type item, flappers or a white wall added to standard tyres?

Yeah the gym was big bucks. It cost my brother about $5000. He doesn't have the room for it at his current rental so i get to use it for the time being. Sorry about that 10year but i needed them. I won them on ebay untubbed_20, they were new old stock...

Just a small update. I've started paint stripping the KE10 but i get next to no spare time so it's a slow process. Since the last update I had my daily driver 1980 323 stolen and torched so i picked up the below KE70 for $100 same as what the 323 originally cost me. I've also had to relocate the KE10 due to moving a home gym in. I've got dumb bells from 5KG to 50KG, rack, 2 benches , adjustable seat and around 400KG in plate weight. I'm not sure I'll be able to fit in the corolla now I've moved all that in, haha....
