What a car is worth and what it sells for are usually two very different numbers.

Having just put extremely good quality thick underlay into a KE20 i would advise against it. For me it made the carpet and accessories harder to fit. Perhaps something a little thinner would be the go or not at all...

180 per wheel, Jesus..... A welding works in Toowoomba widened some steelies for my brother at 60 per wheel. They even moved the offset for him, if that's the correct term. I think it would pay to shop around...

I spotted that exact car a few days ago and nearly fell off my chair. You would think for that price he would get some decent wheels.

I know everyone hates the KE10B/KE11 grill but it is my favourite by far. I guess that means all the more for me...

I have been having the same problem with a friends KE20 i've been working on. I could fit 3 ram tubes but the one against the tower would not fit. I looked in to filters from a UK company called Pipercross. They make a filter to suit that comes in at 40mm which is exactly the room remaining, though i never bought one and tried it. The owner has now taken the car to a workshop to be tuned and they have told him that ramflo filters will fit. Judging from your picture my guess is they wont but i guess i'll find out soon...

Some very valid points have been made however there is merit in going the other route also. I have seen people buy supposedly big dollar cars which turned out to be rust buckets. If you buy a slightly dinged and rusty example and either get some experience fixing it yourself, or pay a shop to do it, at least you know it's done properly. Not everyone is out to buy and sell cars and make money.

Just picked up this AE82 twincam for $250 in reasonable condition for my new daily. The KE70 has served well but is sadly being replaced. More importantly the KE10 is back from the panel beater. Spent a small fortune, took forever and could have been better. Oh well, you live and learn. To be painted just after easter, fingers crossed.

Moot if the car is illegally modified wouldn't that mean it's in an unroadworthy condition?

Like somebody said, once you have a job its easier to find another. Give it a go, get some cash in your pocket and keep looking for a job you want to settle in to.

Get Kenda whitewalls in 13' for 78 beans each fitted and balanced. Real whitewalls looks better than flappers any day of the week....

Brought home a KE20 this evening. Anyone noticed a tacho on the dash in a KE20 like the one pictured. Sorry for the crap quality...

It seems that something is up with the uploader. I was trying to attach some pics to a post but when i click on attach it does nothing. I've tried both types of uploader and my firefox browser is up to date. I've never had trouble before. Any ideas?

If you are that keen on matte black get some matte clear to protect it.
